House styleHouse style The use of black and white on all of the

ancillary products shows that there is a

relationship with the products which is eff ectiveas the audience can recognize the products asthey compliment each other with this µhouse

style¶. The products work well together due

Also the font is the same on all the products.

The name of the artist µChris Issac¶ stands out

as it isin white against the black background. This is eff ective as the audience canimmediately identify who the artist is.

The magazine advert and DVD digi-pack ispromoting the artist and the song µFor You¶.

Similar to the artists name, µFor you¶ is white

against the black to stand out yet still keepwithinthe colour scheme. µFor You¶ is written initalics which grabs the audiences attention as itis diff erent to all the other bold fonts on the

products.

All the font for the in-depth

information is consistent as it is the

same throughout the ancillaryproducts. This is eff ective as youcan clearly see that they are

promoting the same artist through

the products.

The background image is a narrow path andempty. The only person on the main coverwe see is the main artist. The idea of the

path being empty conveys to the audience

that the song has elements of loneliness.

This ref ers back to the title ³For You´ , the

sense that the artist is looking for thisperson¶ s µlove¶ in order for himto not be

lonely.

The path at the endlooks like it is going tomeet, foreshadowing events of the videothat the artist in the endwill not bealone.

It is clear to identify who is the artist aswe can see the same performer in each of the products. There is also link betweenthe main product and the ancillaryproducts here which is easilyrecognizable. The artist is wearing the same outfits in this scene on the video, the DVD digi-pack and magazine advert.

The background here is similar, with the city imagery, which linkswell with the products as the

Magazine advert and video both consist of having buildings andstreets.

BrandingBrandingThe ancillary products portray an urban f eel, which is seen through mise-en-scene. The

background on the magazine advert is the inner-city which informs the audience the type of environment the artist is surrounded by.

Also, the outfit the artist is wearing is urbanisedyet sophisticated.

The location of the artist which is in the inner-city, again brands the products andartist to be urbanised.

A typical RnB music video will have scenes with a µblack drop¶. RnB videos are typically more urban and having thisscene is  conventional to this genre which the audience may identify with.

Mode of addressMode of address

The Language used here illustrates that it is informal. The use of the word ³plus´ is an example of informalspeech. This is eff ective as

our audience are working/middle class which they will use informalspeech.

The venue µKoko¶ is located in µCamden¶  which is in North-West London. Camden isin an urban environment which would haveattracted the target audience.

Mode of address/RepresentationMode of address/Representation

The style of the artist conveys to a viewer thathe is an urban, RnB artist. The majority, if notall RnB artist are informal. The clothes the artistis wearing here represents him to be informaland relaxed.

In all three products the artist is dressedcasually, which is eff ective as our targetaudience are able to identify with this style andcan relate to it.
