    Works on Gomal Zam Dam Project isTribal/Khyber Pakhtunkhwa area continuesdespite of law& order situation.

    A sum of Rs. 5.71 billion was spent for lining ofirrigation channels in Punjab, Sind andKhyberPakhtunkhwa.

    An amount of Rs. 16.067 billion was spent forthe improvement of existing irrigating

    system.

    300 people planted 541,176 propagulesofmangrove tree on 796 acres on an island at KetiBundar in the Indus Delta.

    the agriculture value added and 11.4 percent

    to GDP

    . Gross value addition of livestock at current

    factor cost has increased from

    Rs. 1304.6 billion (200809) to Rs. 1537.5

    billion (200910) showing an increase of 17.8

    percent as compared to previous year.

    . Fisheries share in GDP although very little but it addssubstantially to the national income through exportearnings

    . During the year 200809, a total of 134,000 m. tons of

    fish and fishery products were exported earning US$236 million

    During the period JulyMarch 200910 the total marineand inland fish production was estimated

    952,735 M. tons out which 667,762 M. tons wasmarine production and the remaining catch come from

    inland waters
