This was confirmed last night by Travel West Midlands. The statement they made said that due to the increasing levels of an-social behaviour,mostly by local college stu- dents. Inial complaints were made by the bus drivers themselves, who felt the behav- iour on the bus were becoming out of control. Driver of fiſteen years Mickey George said “the behaviour on the buses, espe- cially at the end of the college day is the worst iv ever seen in my fiſteen years of being a bus driver. However the locals in the Kings Heath are furious and are planning to protest against the axe, outside the Travel West Midland offices in the city centre. By Dave Johnson A COUPLE IN THE ASTON AREA WERE SHOCKED TO FIND THAT THEIR PRIZE WINNING GARDEN HAD BEEN COMPLETLY TRASHED. Thec ouple Mr and Mrs Mathers who had re-turned froma two week breakin the carribean, came back to find that their twice awarded garden of the year for brum garden, had been robbed. The garden thought to have valueables worth up to £5000. Sean Mathers, 33, said “Me and my wife are both completelty shocked at this situation,there is no reason-ing behind these actions”. Susan Mathers, 31, said “how people could be so thoughtless is beyond me, the atttitude of people in this area is so disgusting”. The couple who have been living in the Aston area since they married, nearly seven years ago, say that they have lost all hope for the area. Mr Mathers said “ This area has been in an decline for many years now. Mrs Mathers also spoke on the area saying “this robbery leaves us no option other than to leave and move, its really a sad day for us both as we did love this area. The couple who had picked up the “Best North Birming-ham Graden Award” in boththe 2007 and 2008 competi-tionds, were strong favour-ites for................................

As for nearly 50 years now, the Khan family have been running it generation after generation. This outcome though did seem imminent as for many years now, talk of closure was rife. historic business the family decided for an all out refurbish-ment in the year 2008, mak-ing the shop bigger and more modern. This proved to have little effect, as sales did breifly rise but then continued to fall as the countrys worst recession hit in which local shops suffered the most. But as the recession has hit it seems their run is coming to an end, as sales have severly dried up. However locals planning large fundraisers throughout the area in order to stump up the cash

to save the shop. In that time they have built a loyal customer base, as well as many friendships with locals. Resident John Wilkins said “the shop is part of the history of this area, and community spirit will get us through this.
