Providing of Independent Earthing with 40mm Dia GI Pipe 'B' class of 2.5 Mtrs length with the following specification:- (a) the GI pipe shall be inserted into the Ground for 2.25 M below the inspection chamber bottom. d 300 mm all around This pipe shall be covered with the mixture of 40 Kgs of coke, 20 Kgs of salt & sand including necessary earth work excavation in all kind of soils.(b) the excavated gap shall be back filled with excavated earth, and shall be properly consolidated with water.(c) the top 0.25 M of GI pipe shall be exposed into inspection chamber of 040 X 0.40 X 0.40 M internal size . The all around inspection chamber shall be providied with 0.1 M thick CC (1:3:6) walls with 20 mm thick HBG metal such that the pit shall be exposed 100 mm above ground level. The bottom of the pit shall be provided with 100 mm thick CC (1:3:6) using 20 mm HBG metal with 200 mm outer offset at all four sides.(d) All the inside & outside exposed faces of the inspection chamber shall be plastered with CM (1:5:2) 12 mm thick.(e) A 65 mm dia PVC conduit is to be embeded through 100 mm thick wall at one side, to lay the Earth from the Earth bus to the Electrode through the PVC conduit and after laying the Earth, the pit entry PVC conduit is to be sealed with Bitumen compound.(f) The top of the 40 mm dia GI pipe shall be welded with reducer of 20 mm dia connected with 20 mm dia of 0.3 long GI pipe and 20 mm GI pipe is to be fixed with funnel & wire mesh.(g) After giving earth connections to the 25 X 6 mm GI flat with bolts, nuts & washers, a pre-casted RCC (1:2:4) slab cover of 40 mm thick with lifting hook is to provided on top of the Earth pit.(h) Necessary Meggar testing is to bo done in the presence of the concerned Engineers, and the reading should be as per IE standards.
