It isextremelyimportantthatyouonlyunscrewthe drain bowl from the filter body. The floatadjustments at thebottommust remain in auto.Manual(man)willcausethefloatstoremainopenandairtoleak.Ifyouaccidentlyloosenthefloatadjustment,simplyretightenwithyourhand.

Replacing Filter Elements1. Poweroff the air compressorusing theAirCompressorPower
Switchlocatedontherightsideofthecabinet.2. Power off the nitrogen generator using the customer installed
electricaldisconnect.3. Isolatethenitrogengeneratorfromthesprinklersystembyclosing
theN2TankOutletValve(V03)locatedonthenitrogentank.4. OpentheblueN2BleedValve(V04)locatedneartheNitrogen
SamplePort(SP)andbegindrainingpressurefromthenitrogentank.
5. Open theblackhandledvalve locatedon theActivatedCarbonFilter(F04)andbegindrainingpressurefromtheairtank.
6. Locatethefour(4)filtersontheinsideofthenitrogengeneratorcabinet.SeeFig.1.
7. Disconnect the drain tubes from the filter bowl by pushing upontheplasticreleasingcollarandpullingdownonthetube.SeeFig.2.
8. Usinga13/16”wrenchloosenthefilterbowlfromthefilterbody.SeeFig.3.
Ensurepowerisdisconnectedandthereisnopressureinthenitrogengeneratorbeforeproceeding.

Note:Thisfilterbody isnotconnected to thedrainandhasablackballvalve.13. Checktomakesurethefloatsmovefreely.14. Screw the filter bowl back into the filter body. Use a 13/16”
wrenchto tightenthecorrectwrenchingflats.Becareful tonotovertightenoryoumaycrackthefilterbody.Repeatforallfilters.
15. ClosetheblackhandledballvalveontheActivatedCarbonFilter(F04)andtheblueN2BleedValve(V04).
1. Turnpowerontotheunitusingtheelectricaldisconnect.2. Toresetthemaintenancetimerandgetthemaintenancealertor
maintenancetroubletoreset,gototheIntelliGen™Display.3. Press“MAINT”ontheIntelliGen™Displaykeypad.4. Enterpasscode“0000”5. Select“Std.Maintenance”press“ENTER”.6. Themenuwilldisplaymaintenancetimercountdownhours.7. Toresetthemaintenancetimerpress“ENTER”.Press“ENTER”
againtoconfirm.8. ThemaintenancelightontheIntelliGen™Displaywillturnoff
andthemaintenancetimerhasbeenreset.9. TurnpowerbackontotheaircompressorusingtheAirCompressor
Switchlocatedontherightofthecabinet.Theamber“BYPASS”LEDwillbeONsincethereisnopressureinthetanks.
10. Ifthenitrogengeneratorisisolatedfromthesprinklersystem:• The air compressor of the INS-500 should take no longer
than8minutestopressurizethetwotanksandturnoff.• TheaircompressoroftheINS-1000shouldtakenolonger
than6minutestopressurizethetwotanksandturnoff.11. Theamber“BYPASS”LEDshouldturnoff.12. Iftheaircompressorisnotturningofforitistakinglongerthan
expected,itcouldindicatealeak.13. Allowthesystemtoholdpressureforseveralminutes.Checkall
pipingconnectionsforleaks.Anydropinpressureonthenitrogentankorairtankduringthistimecouldindicatealeak.
14. If there is a drop in pressure, soap all filters and blow-downstrainer.
