Randall Bunley retired from the federal government on 31 December 2018. Additionally, he retired from the U.S. Army Reserves with twenty-four years of military service. Bunley was selected into the Army Material Command (AMC), intern program as a Quality Assurance Specialist (QAS), 1 June – 7 December 1987, in Rock Island, IL. He reported to the U.S. Army Aviation and Troop Command, St. Louis, MO. There he served and completed his three- year obligation in the AMC intern program. He made a career move from a QAS to a Logistics
Management Specialist in the program management arena. Bunley served as subject matter expert for Aviation Ground Support Equipment for the next seven years. Through a Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) action in 1995, the U.S. Army Aviation and Troop Command merged with the U.S. Army Missile Command to create the Army Aviation and Missile Command. This BRAC moved Bunley and his family to Huntsville, AL, in 1997. He accepted the lead position as the Logistics Management Specialist and the Aviation Mission Specialist within the Program Management office. He managed a $20M program, which helped create a solution for the Year 2000 (Y2K) problem. This Y2 was a class of computer bugs related to the formatting and storage of data for dates beginning in the year 2000. Bunley managed 70% of AMCOM’s Y2K issues. His team created a solution that eliminated the Y2K issues within the AMCOM military community. He was recognized and rewarded by the AMCOM Commander. He was promoted to the Assistant Program Manager (APM) for the

Advanced Threat Infrared Countermeasures/Command Missile Warning System (ATIRCM/CMWS). He developed, defended, and executed the fielding plans for 350 systems with a budget of $259M. He was recommended for and accepted into the Competitive Development Graduate (CDG) program. This was a three- year program that developed future government leaders. After completing the CDG program, Bunley assumed the role of the Chief of Staff, Logistics Directorate. Throughout his thirty-two years of government service, he held many positions within the government; some required a top-secret clearance. Bunley received his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology from Jackson State University (1985) and his Master of Business Science in Management degree from the Florida Institute of Technology (2004).

Fellowship Presbyterian Women’s Circle Meeting Held
The women of the church met for Bible study following worship on January 13. Michele Hicks (left) facilitated the lesson, “God With Us When We Were Powerless,”
from the study book God’ Promise: I Am With You. Bettye Dixie and Carolyn Jackson were hostesses and served a delicious lunch.
All women of the church are invited and encouraged to attend Bible study. Meeting times are after worship on the second Sunday of the month through May 2019. After a summer hiatus, meetings resume in the fall. In addition to Bible study, the meetings offer an excellent opportunity for fellowship among the women and for understanding how we can increase service to our church and to others.

The Prayer of Faith James 5:13-16
“ 13 Are any among you suffering? They should pray. Are any cheerful? They should sing songs of praise. 14 Are any among you sick? They should call for the elders of the church and have them pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 The prayer of faith
will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up; and anyone who has committed sins will be forgiven. 16 Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective.”
