    Dallas Baptist University Tour

    Just three weeks ago, January 2012, seven of our students hadan opportunity to join other students and their parents on aformal visit and tour of the Dallas Baptist University. The pro-spective students were received by DBUs staff to informationsession movie. In the session current and ex-students sharedtheir views of DBU and the opportunity as students to under-stand their calls to Godly servant-hood as future leaders of ourcountry and worldwide.

    Students also enjoyed the view and tour of the students facili-ties, dorms, classrooms, studios, and more. The tour was or-ganized by the Tongan Youth Association of Texas (TYAT).Parents, we appreciate your partnering with us in this en-

    deavor. We hope to continue this journey alongside you, tosupport the success of our community, impacting by transition-ing our students to higher education. Malo, Soana Moores

    REGISTER FOR COLLEGE-DONT DELAYAs the school year draws closer to an end, we want to touch basewith those of you who wants to continue on to college. Here are 6things you should do ASAP in order to prepare:1. Fill out your FAFSAapplication, click on the link2. Acquire your transcript from high school3. Take an Accuplacer Test or have your ACT/SAT score ready4. Apply for admission to your college of choice5. Meet with a counselor at your college of choice6. Register for classes...

    Other things will be required and the list may not be in perfectorder. There are also technical classes at the local junior collegesyou can take advantage of. Some classes only last one or two yearsdepending on the field you go intoair conditioning/heating,mechanic, pluming, medical assistant programs, etc. A certificatedoes make a difference in the quality of life we have, not only inour families lives but in our community as well.
