31 IntroductionThe objective of this document is to provide a list of topics that must be covered when training aprinter operator. Use this form during the training provided at the time of printer installation or anyother time operator training is provided. Each item is uniquely numbered to facilitate quickreference.

Page numbers for corresponding information in the printers User Guide are provided with each itemon the checklist. These references are to the English language version of the Guide and may differfrom other language localizations of the Guide. HP suggests that the customer print out a copy ofthe User Guide for reference and annotation during the training. HP strongly recommends thatChapter 9, User Cleaning Tasks, be printed for customer reference and reinforcement during thetraining.

When used at installation, mark all applicable checklists, obtain signatures, and return the entirecompleted form to the appropriate HP Customer Care Center for your region.

(CQ168A FB950User Cleaning Kit may be substituted when CQ121A is not available.)

The objective of this training is make the operator familiar with features provided by theembedded web server. A computer, such as the RIP, with a TCP/IP connection to the printer anda web browser are required to view the EWS and complete this training.

3 Operator Training on RIPThe printer may be bundled with either Onyx or Caldera. If the customer purchased a printer withthe bundled RIP, use the applicable checklist below to ensure the customer is familiar with thebasics of installation, configuration, and printing. Color profile creation and related advanced topicsare not in the scope of this training guide and checklist.

3.1 Caldera RIP
