ABOUT US

About Us

Fallowfield Partnership Ltd is headed up by

Lee Holloway DipOSH AM.Inst.CS MIOM, retained

Technical Adviser to ESSA, AEV and AEO

trade associations and a participant in the

exhibition and event industry since the mid

nineties. He is qualified in health and safety to

degree level and holds an ICS approved CDM

Coordinator certificate. He is a Graduate

member of IOSH, a full member of the Institute

of Operations Management and an associate

member of the Institute of Construction Safety.

Lee sits on the HSE’s Joint Advisory

Committee on Entertainment (JACE)

Subcommittee for Temporary Demountable

Structures, the IOSH Sports Grounds and

Events Group, the Safety Advisory Group on

Entertainment and the Events Industry Forum

(EIF) and contributed to the BSI mirror

committee on the migration of BS8901 to

ISO20121.

Lee also participates in trade association

working groups on event health and safety

(eGuide), Sustainability, Security, Catering,

Connectivity, Electrics and Technology, giving

him a broad knowledge of challenges and

themes across the industry.

He has completed a wide range of on-site safety

roles and stand design inspection projects

giving him strong “real-world” experience. He

brings this own background and industry

perspective to every Fallowfield project, where

appropriate in combination with one or more of

Fallowfield’s carefully vetted associate

consultants ensuring clients benefit from the

best of both worlds – up to date event industry

rules, practices, developments and processes

as well as useful out-of-industry expertise and

experience.

In 2013 he produced a white paper discussing

management systems in the event space,

having consulted on one of the first external

certifications to BS8901 in 2008 as well as one

of the first to ISO20121 in 2012.

“Lee is an organised and thorough Manager, he has been the conscience behind the continued development of the e-Guide for the Exhibition industry. A great team player, not frightened to contribute to the debate required in gaining a consensus to allow continued development of this world class guidance.” Michael Anderson Group Head of Health & Safety, Earls Court & Olympia “I have worked alongside Lee for some time in my role as Chair of the AEV sustainability group and also as a member of the AEV security group. He is always proactive and a delight to work with. He has a good knowledge of both subjects and I would highly recommend him as a colleague or consultant.” Emma Wellman Sustainability Advisor and Olympia Venue Services Manager, Earls Court & Olympia “Lee is a talented individual who always delivers on his promises, on time and with flair! He has an amazing aptitude to consume technical data, digest and then present in a clear and transparent way - that even I understand!!” Chris Skeith Director AEV and ESSA Trade Associations “The three attributes I had to select to best describe Lee are personable, expert and high integrity. I picked them for a reason; he represents them to a tee. Lee is also a fount of technical knowledge and very conscientious with his outputs. The one other thing I would like to highlight is Lee's flexibile working style. I recently drafted him in to help shape the content/speakers for the AEO Ops Forum 2012. Within a week, he had booked in half the speakers and had the other half warmed up.” Jim Curry Deputy Director at Association of Event Organisers “Lee combines detailed and practical experience of the event industry with expert and insightful knowledge about its operational processes. This ensures that his advice; whether on sustainability, Health & Safety or general technical issues is grounded in a sense of what is achievable and realistic. Most importantly he is able to marry his input with commercial and organisational goals. His calm exterior belies a mind busy at work digesting information and problem solving and he has the uncanny ability to make following rules, regulations and processes seem like it might almost be fun!” Simon Burton Director at Exposure Communications “Lee helped guide us through the experience of achieving ISO 20121 - the Sustainable event management system. He is very knowledgable about the subject, detailed and structured in his approach, but patient and understanding. He is easy to work with and gave us full support in understanding the process of going for an ISO standard. I am happy to recommend him!” Frazer Chesterman Director and Co-owner of FM Brooks “Lee was always creative and objective with regards to seeking new opportunities within the Health & Safety sector of the

industry, and was very instrumental with producing policies and procedures when we first opened FIVE.”

Jonathan Smith Head of Operational Development, Farnborough International “With over 240 exhibition stand designs, risk assessments and method statements to check in the lead up to Hotelympia, Lee’s expertise proved to be invaluable. Keeping up to date with current regulations is crucial to stand inspections and the fact that Lee works with the eGuide committee was an added bonus” Simmone Collett Operations Executive, Fresh RM Ltd “It is rare to find an individual with such commitment and expertise who is also able to communicate effectively on all levels and work as part of a huge onsite team taking into account everyone’s roles and needs.” Joanna Ripley Head of Events, The Association for Perioperative Practice “The calm, courteous and efficient way that Lee had of dealing with the venue, contractors and exhibitors was excellent, and meant that I could concentrate on other things which were taking place. Allison Winton Event Director, Royal Microscopical Society “Lee is an absolute pleasure to work with taking the necessary time and energy to fully understand the brief and deliver exactly what he promises – early. Not only is Lee good at sticking to detail and deadlines he is also creative with his input and ideas and ensures he understands before offering a solution. In short he makes himself very easy and effective to work with.” Margaret Major Assistant Publisher, Association Management International

Management Systems and Consultancy

About Us

ISO 9001: Quality ISO 14001: Environment OHSAS 18001: Health and Safety ISO 22000: Food Safety ISO 27001: Information Security ISO 50001: Energy ISO 22301: Business Continuity ISO 20121: Sustainable Events

Fallowfield Partnership Ltd delivers

consultancy and management services that

span event health and safety, sustainability,

quality and the entire range of international

standards listed opposite. We help event

and leisure based organisations identify the

support that they need and then deliver it in

a way that suits the unique culture of these

industries. We have worked in this field for

over 15 years and bring to our projects a

genuine understanding of event and leisure

specific issues and challenges.

Strategic Partnership with EcoEvents:

Fallowfield Partnership enjoys a marketing and

operational partnership with fellow industry

specialist EcoEvents. Combining our respective

specialities, backgrounds, sector experience

and associate consultant networks, we work

collaboratively on management system projects

to ensure our clients see the bigger

management system picture and benefit from

the widest possible knowledge base.

Multi-standard packages: as well as

ISO20121 Fallowfield has experience in

ISO9001, OHSAS18001, ISO14001 and other

management systems enabling it to implement

more than one standard either consecutively or

concurrently (at very little additional cost than

for implementing a single standard). This

means clients have the opportunity to achieve

credentials that are recognised both inside and

outside of the events industry.

Fully integrated management systems:

Fallowfield looks for any existing management

system processes you have in place already

and builds on them as opposed to starting from

scratch and implementing duplicate processes

and roles.

SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS

Critical events legals and best practice:

Fallowfield director Lee’s role with the AEV’s

“eGuide” and the “EIF” ensures the latest event

industry Health & Safety processes are integrated

into Fallowfield’s management system

consultancy as standard. Currently Fallowfield is

advising on duty holder roles within the CDM

regime as the HSE progresses towards possible

application to events from 2014.

Highly qualified consultants: Generally

appointed consultants are also qualified lead

external auditors in one or more of the standards

that a client is being certified against, putting

clients in the best possible position for a smooth

certification process.

Two ears one mouth: Fallowfield listens

carefully to clients’ unique challenges and helps

them adopt procedures fit for their specific

business. It doesn’t tell clients what to do, it

explains to them criteria that need to be met and

works with them to develop processes that suit

their existing company culture and structure.

MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

Fallowfield client FM Brooks achieved one of the world’s first successful certifications of an event to ISO20121 in Autumn 2012.

PROCEDURES & HELPLINES

Health, Safety and Employment Law Procedures and Helpline

Organisations that are serious about implementing effective management systems across the scope of their activities will need to ensure that their frameworks for managing their people and their workplaces are legally compliant and achieve a positive culture by formalizing processes for ensuring competence, control, co-operation and two-way communication.

Fallowfield Partnership is formal event industry partners with Citation plc and has secured a 5% discount for its customers against their list prices.
