Santa Rosa Symphony Youth Ensembles Audion Materials, 2020/2021 Season, as of 6/29/2020 Audions for the posion of Concertmaster for the Santa Rosa Symphony Youth Orchestra for the 2020-2021 season will take place the week of August 24. Because of the fluid Covid 19 situaon, it is not yet determined if the audion will be face-to-face, by pre-recorded video or by real-me internet video chat, but all applicants will be informed as soon as a determinaon is made. The selecon for the posion of Concertmaster will be announced before the first rehearsal of the 2020-2021 season. All violinists audioning for the concertmaster posion must also play a regular L3 audion on violin. Audion Requirements: SOLO: Prepare a three minute solo highlighng your technical proficiency. EXCERPT(S): Prepare the excerpt from your audion packet with the tempo indicaons given. Concertmaster audions will be judged by a panel of two professional violinists selected by Symphony staff and faculty based on their imparality. For the best audion experience, please do your best to make the audion me as scheduled by the Symphony office. Once the audion date and format are seled, please make sure you meet all deadlines—there are no makeups or other mes to schedule for concertmaster audions. Face-to-face audions are recorded for conductorsreview. Only the mu- sician is allowed to enter the audion room; parents and friends may wait in the waing area. Expect concertmaster audions to last up to 30 min.
