Living Tree & Park Bench MemorialsHelp improve the quality of life and the environment by having a tree planted in one of your Dyer Parks to remember or honor a person or organization. A minimum donation of $200 will purchase a tree. You may designate the park but Dyer Parks & Recreation will determine the exact location. Trees are planted each fall. As part of your donation, the person’s name, year of donation and park will be added to one of the Living Tree Memorial plaques on display at the Dyer Town Hall.

Park Bench Memorials are also available. For a donation of $750 we will install a park bench with a plaque on the seat back of the bench in a park of your choice. Exact locations will be determined by staff but suggestions are welcome. For more information on either program contact Dyer Parks & Recreation at (219) 865-2505.

2 Million Families Choose Kindermusik!

In Kindermusik classes, the instructor leads a group of parents and their children through joyful activities, using music and movement. Parents learn more about their child’s unique developmental process, and the shared learning experience creates a bond as the child associates learning with fun, musical play. Sign language is incorporated into each of the classes. Material fees are paid to the instructor at the first class. This fee is in addition to the program fee. Registration deadline is two days prior to the start of each session.

2016 Special Needs Schedule of Events

By working together toward a common goal we are able to provide more events to a larger amount of people than any one agency alone.

The following agencies are proud to partner to offer CSRI:

♦ Crown Point Parks & Recreation ♦ Dyer Parks & Recreation ♦ Hammond Parks and Recreation ♦ Hammond Port Authority ♦ Hanover Central HS Key Club ♦ Highland Parks & Recreation

♦ Lake County Parks ♦ Merrillville Parks & Recreation ♦ Munster Parks & Recreation ♦ Schererville Parks & Recreation ♦ St. John Parks & Recreation ♦ Whiting Parks & Recreation

Join the CSRI email contact list. Send your contact name and email address to [email protected] to be added.

The dates in this calendar of events are provided so you can ‘save the date’ on your 2015 calendar.

Registration may not begin until a later date as determined by the host agency.

Full information will be e-mailed out as the date approaches with details on the event.

Some programs may have a registration fee. Advance registration is typically required for each event so preparations can be made.

Call the host agency for full details.

These agencies are working together to give you more options! Anyone can participate in these programs regardless of the community you live in.

CSRI event notices are only sent via email or through agency brochures and flyers.

This calendar of events was assembled in Dec., 2014 and at that time all details were accurate.

However, details may change as the event approaches based on other circumstances.
