Contracts 101
• A contract is required any time a student group enters into an agreement with an individual or company to perform a service, whether or not money is exchanged for that service.
• The University Contract is always preferred.• To protect students from liability, all contracts processed
through Student Union must first be reviewed and then signed by a SIL staff member.
• Vendors signs first.• Students may not pay for serves out of pocket. • A W9 form must be completed by vendor and submitted with

before the event.
