The general degree program allows degree candidates to choose broadly from the department's course offerings in American, global, and military history while benefitting from the department's strengths in race, social, and cultural history. Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw, Georgia Programs: Professional Writing, American Studies Kennesaw State’s Professional Writing program prepares students for a wide variety of writing-related positions in business, publishing and the arts. Coursework includes 3 concentrations – writing, composition and rhetoric, and creative writing. Kennesaw State’s American Studies grad program is the sole program of its kind in the University System of Georgia. It builds global learning and intercultural skills and promotes civic engagement. Armstrong State University, Savannah, GA Program: Criminal Justice With Armstrong State’s Master of Science in Criminal Justice degree, you be prepared to enter the field with the essential knowledge and skills required to be successful in the profession. The graduate program in Criminal Justice will provide you with a deeper understanding of the administration of individual criminal agencies, along with the advanced research in methodology to collect, analyze, synthesize, and report information and data. Atlanta's John Marshall Law School, Atlanta, Georgia Program: Law - Juris Doctor (J.D.) Founded in 1933 and is accredited by the American Bar Association, AJMLS was named for John Marshall, the fourth chief justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. The full-time day program requires study in residence for six semesters over three academic years. Albany State University, Albany, Georgia Program: Medicine, Nursing Albany State is a state-supported, historically black university. Admission to medical school usually requires a minimum of three years of undergraduate study or a Bachelor’s degree. A Bachelor’s degree with a major in Biology or Chemistry and minor in one of the sciences offers excellent preparation.
