Glittering lights, towering heights and festive nights – Canyon Lights returns for its 11th season! Re-capture the feeling of wonder and excitement of the holiday season and be amazed by the hundreds of thousands of lights throughout the park. The suspension bridge, Treetops Adventure, Cliffwalk, the rainforest and canyon are transformed into a world of festive lights and visual enchantment. See 30-ton Douglas firs lit above and below the collars, go on a Snowy Owl Prowl, decorate gingerbread cookies and make your own Christmas card, and sing-along with the holiday band. Complimentary shuttle service available from Canada Place.

CHRISTMAS AT FLYOVER CANADANovember 23 - January 7 | 10:00am - 9:00pm

FlyOver Canada will transform into a magical winter wonderland this Christmas season. Guests will have fun helping Santa Claus search for his missing elves during an exhilarating flight across Canada and on to the North Pole.

The complete experience will last between 20 – 25 minutes and include an extended holiday edition of FlyOver Canada that leads guests on to Santa’s workshop in the North Pole. Some may even be able to catch a whiff of Mrs. Claus’ baking as they swoop over her Gingerbread factory! In addition, stop by our festive outdoor deck to enjoy holiday music, Christmas lights, hot drinks and seasonal snacks. Be sure to also check our performance schedule for visits with Santa, ice sculpture and live music.

Celebrate the holidays at Vancouver Aquarium and experience everyone’s favourite holiday guest, Scuba Claus, as he makes his annual dive in the Strait of Georgia exhibit. Come marvel at a special holiday tree, its glimmering lights sparked by the resident electric eel. Visitors can learn more about the North Pole and the Arctic through dangling icicle displays, garlands galore and the chance to interact with a roaming Scuba Claus. In the Pacific Canada gallery, immerse yourself in the magical lightshow of Jelly Swarm. Dozens of origami jellies lit up with LED lights dangle from the ceiling with their projections dancing on the floor. Stare up at a towering Christmas tree made entirely of marine debris. Made by Tofino artist Pete Clarkson, the unique tree is made up of items found along his nearby beaches. Then hop aboard and enjoy a magical ride with Rudolph or The Polar Express in 4-D! The 4-D experience will sweep you away to the North Pole through an exhilarating sensory experience full of wondrous sights, sounds, scents and more. Included with the price of admission.

Visit Vancouver’s North Pole. See how magical elves have transformed Grouse Mountain into the North Pole where you can have breakfast with Santa, visit his workshop, meet real reindeer or vote for your favourite creation in our Gingerbread Village. This Christmas, believe again.

FESTIVAL OF TREESNovember 30 - January 1

This year Festival of Trees Vancouver is celebrating its 31st anniversary with an enchanted forest of decorated trees to raise funds for the most urgent needs at BC Children’s Hospital. Generous individuals, corporations and community groups show support of the sickest children in BC, while enhancing their visibility and brand awareness.

Visitors are encouraged to visit the Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver and CF Pacific Centre Mall from November 30, 2017 through January 1, 2018 to donate and vote for their favourite tree.

During the holiday season, Stanley Park sparkles with two million twinkling lights, decorating the darkness that comes early at this time of year. Make the Bright Nights Train part of your holiday tradition - Ride the train, watch animated displays, listen to holiday classics, sip warm cocoa, and feast on fresh popcorn or roasted nuts. Enjoy the sight of young eyes dazzled by the display of lights and the excitement of the holidays. Partial proceeds from the sale of Bright Nights tickets go to the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund, which helps burn survivors and their families. $1.4 million has been raised over the past 15 years. Donations will be accepted at the front gate. We suggest a $4 minimum donation. Thank you! Buy your tickets in advance to make sure you get on the train when you want.

DUNDARAVE FESTIVAL OF LIGHTSDecember 2 - 23 | West Vancouver

The Dundarave Festival of Lights is located at Dundarave Park in West Vancouver, right at the waterfront by 150-25th Street. The North Shore festival features a Forest -of Miracles – comprised of dozens of decorated Christmas trees – as well as four Saturdays of free afternoon concerts. Also famous at the venue is the Dundarave Nativity, which is a life-sized nativity scene by master woodcarver Bill Seminoff. The best times to visit the Dundarave Festival of Lights are during the concerts on Saturdays in the afternoons, and at night when the Forest of Miracles is all lit up. Free concerts take place at the Dundarave Festival of Lights on Saturdays leading up to the Christmas Wassail and Bonfire on December 23rd.

After being given some time to walk through the light display and take in Stanley Park’s holiday magic, the tour will continue through local light displays on the way to the second stop of the evening at VanDusen Botanical Garden’s Festival of Lights. A donation to the Burn Fund is included in each ticket on the Karaoke Christmas Lights Trolley tour. The team is hard at work crafting this year’s display built to serve as the centerpiece for more than 30 gingerbread creations designed by secondary schools, professionals and amateur culinary artists.
