Can you cut out the cards and place them face down. Can

your child choose a card and say the letter sound the

picture begins with? If they can feed it to the computer

robot!

Take it in turns to challenge each other to count an amount

of frogs into the pond.

Making bubbles. Can you make a bubble wand out of a pipe

cleaner or straw and see if you can blow different shape

bubbles? Can you blow a square or triangle bubble?

the bus. Ask your child, how many people are on the bus?

Add more and ask again. Take some away and ask, how

many people got off the bus?

don’t have any paint.

Play Silly Soup. Ask your child to make a bowl of silly soup

with you. Decide on the initial sound the things you will

add into your soup will have. My soup will be made out of

things that start with a …J. I’m putting in Jelly, Jam,

Jigsaws and Juice. Say you will put something in that

doesn’t start with a J to catch them out. I’m going to out

Ham in it too. Ask them to have a go. They could even draw

pictures to go in the soup.
