On November 21, BatStateU, in cooperation with the Agricultural Training Institute Region IV-A (ATI IV-A) and the Batangas Provincial Government through the Provincial Agriculturist Office of Batangas, led the 2019 Techno Gabay Program (TGP) Summit at BatStateU Pablo Borbon Main I.

The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing between BatStateU and DepEd – Batangas was held on December 5 at President’s Office, BatStateU Pablo Borbon Main I.

The MOA signing was conducted in light of the Adopt–A–School Program of BatStateU to be implemented for the benefit of the school recipients: Sto. Niño National High School and Tibig Elementary School.

Through the partnership, Programs, Activities, and Projects (PAPs) were aimed to be conducted relative to 5k for TES (Kaalaman, Kaugalian, Kasarian, Kapasidad at Kaligtasan) for the Tibig Elementary School. Meanwhile, PAPs such as skills training, capability building, environmental protection and disaster risk mitigation, Gender and Development, academic, moral and spiritual enhancement, and health and sanitation were aimed to be carried out for Sto. Niño National High School.

BatStateU signs MOA with DepEd Batangas for Adopt–A–School Program

Dubbed as “Makabagong Teknolohiya para sa pagbabago, kahandaan sa pagbabago ng klima,” the event was launched in special recognition of the Farmers Information and Technology Services (FITS) Center and Magsasaka Siyentista (MS) or farmer scientists in the province of Batangas.

The TGP Summit also launched the booth exhibit of LGUs showcasing their notable products, and the competition for the Best Product Booth, Most Outstanding FITS Center,

Most Outstanding MS, and Highlights and Accomplishments poster. The awarding was held the next day at the Office of the Veterinary and Agricultural Services (OCVAS), Batangas City.

The signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between Batangas Capitol, BatStateU, and ATI IV-A was also done during the event for the implementation of TGP in the province of Batangas.

Gender and Development

Updates on

In observance of the Annual National Campaign on Anti-Violence Against Women (VAW), the Batangas State University and its extended campuses took part in the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) from November 25 to December 12. The event was done through the initiatives of the offices of the Extension Services and Gender and Development.

Several activities that focused on VAW were held: a campus-wide walk to end VAW parade, capacity building seminar for the Laboratory School parents, On-the-spot Photo Contest and Infographics Contest through the BatStateU Camera Club, short film viewing, and the VAWC awareness seminar.
