Seatrade returns to Asia in November

The Asia Pacific cruise market is growing. Fast.As a source market for cruise tourism worldwide, the absolute volume of cruise travellers sourced from Asia has nearly tripled since 2012.

The first purpose-built cruise ship for Asia in 17 years, Genting Dream, built by Meyer Werft was delivered to Dream Cruises in October 2016.

Royal Caribbean’s capacity in 2017 in Southeast Asia increased by 30% over 2016.

China is now the second largest source market for cruising with 2.1m passengers sailing in 2016.

Predictions suggest that China will be the largest source market in the region with 4.5million passengers by 2020.

China’s first domestic cruise brand offering a Chinese-built ship is set to start operations in 2022 built at Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Yard (joint venture between CSSC, China Investment Corp, Carnival and Fincantieri).

Following the success of recent Seatrade Cruise events in the region, Seatrade Cruise Asia Pacific 2017 will bring together top executives from the major cruise line brands, as well as government officials and other key stakeholders to discuss hot topics in Asia including the ‘Belt and Road’ initiative, growth opportunities and future prospects. This event is designed to provide you with the insight and right connections you need to grow your business in Asia.

The three-day event features a top-level conference programme where you can find yourself immersed in the inspiring keynotes, training workshops and interactive panels that cover all the key subjects in the region.
