In this article was mainly talking about different definitions of corporal
punishment and there meanings. The author spoke about several different definitions of
corporal punishment and how they relate to each other. One of the definitions that wereaddress in this article was the use of physical force with the intention of causing a child
to experience pain but not injury for the purposes of correction or control of the childs
behavior. meaning that inflicting pain on a child doesnt really help them. Most parents
and will probably agree that there is a very big difference between tapping a child on thehand or buttocks than using a belt, slapping, punching, or using any other object or
extreme force when you discipline a children which a lot of people feel like they can
discipline their children how they feel, and their way of discipline them is the right way.

The American society explains what corporal punishment is positively that is related
to the frequency and intensity of acting out and behavior disorders. Researchers have foundthat children who are spanked tend to have mental problems and are at a greater risk for
depression as well as a host of other running psychological adjustment problems. Spankingalso leads to an abusive person. When a child grows up in a home where spanking is okay
then they feel as though hitting is normal which makes them become abusive. This does notmean every child spanked will have some type of problem but it does affect a large number
of them.
