A quote given by our

Caretaker Mr Prosser

Lots of fun in Year Three!

Year three have had a very exciting two weeks with class trips, author visits and drama workshops! In English we have been working hard to create class story maps on the portal story 'The Time-Slip Scarab'. We have used this portal story as inspiration for our own descriptive poems. In maths we have started to look at time. We worked together to make timelines outside with chalk and focused on the hour hand. We also used hoops and post it notes to make our own clocks.

Well Done Year Six Year 6 have come to the end of a SATs week that has been challenging but rewarding and productive. Pupils have rightly been proud of themselves and each other as they have kept their focus and made sure that everyone has been able to do their best. The Year six staff team are incredibly proud of the children and their calm determination during the exams. Now the learning continues as Year 6s switch their attention to their production further developing their drama, music and art skills. They are also taking part in a number of transition activities that will ensure that they approach their new schools with confidence – as they should.

Goodbye Miss Woodhead

It is with sadness but also pride that we announce the leaving of Jemma Woodhead – who has been a vital member of the Year 6 team in the last months. She leaves to pursue her particular interest in supporting children with Autism and will be part of a highly skilled and dedicated staff at a school which is opening to pupils in September in Kent. It is a sign of Miss Woodhead’s commitment to our pupils that she deferred her departure in order to ensure that the Year 6s were fully prepared for their SATs and, crucially, had the benefit of her reassuring and encouraging presence.
