Fall Back t h i s S u n d a y
Have your boxes ready to go by Nov 13th. As you can
see from the picture, some of the boxes don’t “fly” all the way there. Don’t forget to include (oxen) handling fees.
Evening of Prayer For Our Country.
Nov 7, 6:30p At the request of the Evangelism Minis-try Team, the Session of NCEPC has set
a special meet-ing for prayer for our country. It will be a structured time of prayer, and our ministry teams will meet at 7:30p. Please join us...
Christmas Good-
ie Boxes!
The Worship Team will be packing Christmas Goodie Boxes to send off to our military and college students
on November 13th after the second service. Won’t you please join us?
If you are making individual, prepackaged bags, please plan on 27.
Please have all donations to the church by November 13th.
Some of the boxes will be sent by mail, so plan your goodies to “travel well”.
As always, we have a generous and faithful group of givers… thank you, thank you!
In His Service, the Worship Team

Dear New Covenant Church, It was a wonderful surprise to receive your note and find out that you have been praying for Westfield. It was also convicting that there are others in the ministry facing similar challenges and receiving similar blessings. Thank you! Your note will go in our next newsletter and hopefully will inspire us to be more aware of our fellow laborers in the vineyard. God’s Blessings to All, Paul Votaw
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dear Church Family, Thank you so much for your prayers, food, offers of help, and just being there. It really is a great comfort to know you are there and ready to help in time of need. God’s Blessing on You, Ray Marr
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dear New Covenant, Betty Chrobak and the Fellowship Ministry would like to thank all of you for your help and support in canning the peppers this season! We couldn’t have done it without you! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dear Sewing Ladies and Others who had a part in mak-ing my comfort quilt, It indeed does bring much comfort with the many uplifting scripture messages and it is so beautiful too! Appreciated are the prayers and blessings of the Deacons. Thank you to All! Josephine McFarland
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To Our Wonderful Friends at New Covenant, This has been a tremendous month because of the varied situations that God has brought our way. Because of your support and prayers, we have been able to help these women have hope, God Bless You All, The Alpha Omega Center
Defenses Against the Cold
and Flu Zinc Lozenges: Studies have shown that if you begin
taking zinc lozenges at the very first signs of a cold
and/or during first 24 hours of showing symptoms,
you can cut the duration of the cold down by 3 days!
Get at least 7 hours of sleep per night
Frequently giving and receiving hugs will cut your
chances of developing a cold by 32 percent due to
the stress-relieving effects of hugging
Get at least 40 minutes of brisk walking or similar
daily activity and cut your risks in half
Prayer and quiet reflection slashes your chances of
coming down with a cold by 76%
As always, wash your hands– soap and water have
proven to be the most effective, washing for at least
20 seconds, sudsing and rinsing dislodges germs
Hand sanitizers that are at least 60% alcohol will kill
most germs Adapted from BHG November 2016
Joe’s Mitten Tree The winter season is nearly upon us and the Covenant Seekers Sunday School Class will be spon-soring Joe's Mitten Tree again this year. This worthwhile project has pro-vided hundreds of hats,
scarves and mittens for needy children through the City Rescue Mission. Many years ago, Joe Jameson, a mem-ber of the Board of Directors for the Mission, saw a need for keeping the less fortunate chil-dren of New Castle warm during the cold, harsh days of winter and created the Mitten Tree. Our prayer is that during this season of giving you will be blessed by your donations to this worthy cause. We are also accepting adult male and female hats and gloves for the men at the Mis-sion and the women at Covenant House. The Mitten Tree sits in the corner of the sanctuary near the Covenant Seekers Class-room/Choir Room and will be available Novem-ber 27th to receive your donations.
Laurel’s Project HOPE is asking New Covenant to col-lect 35 jars of peanut butter for the Thanksgiving distri-bution. If you would like to supply a jar of peanut butter, please bring it to the church office by November 13th.
If you would like to help with assembling the Thanksgiving baskets or delivering them, they will be assembled on Fri-day, November 17th at First United Brethren Church in the morning and then distributed in the afternoon.
If you would like to sponsor a family for Christmas through Project HOPE, please let Holly know and she will get a copy of a fam-ily’s wishlists.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The following Sundays we will be lighting a candle on our Advent wreath and offering a responsive reading, and closing with prayer. 11/27, 12/4,12/11,12/18,12/25
The Worship Team is looking for readers for those dates,
“Is God’s Hand Tapping You on the Shoulder?”
If you are interested, please let Bonnie Neese know what Sunday works best for you. (724)614-3309
