Q4.Who would be the audience for your media product?

At the start of my media project I did a lot of research to find out who my target audience would be. This included creating a survey on survey monkey so that I would be able to find out what my target audience would expect to see in each issue of the magazine. Alongside this I researched other magazines such as Kerrang and NME and looked at their reader profiles to find out what their audience is expecting to see and want from the magazine. I also looked at the layout and content of their magazine and found out what they did that appealed to their target audience.

The reader profile shown to the right is the original reader profile that I created for my pitch idea. This profile shows my ideal target audience for my magazine including their age, personality and life style, pictures are included on this to explain it further. Other magazine reader profiles were similar it mine with the stlye of their reader, this resulting in my magazine possibly also appealing to their audience increaseing the populartiy of mine.

As I was creating the reader profile for my pitch idea I was sure if this would be an accurate dicription of them as I had not carried out all of my research. Howerver I have decided that this is likely to be what my target audience is like.
