What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

• There are different kinds of publishers who publish different genres of magazines. For example, IPC (The International Publishing Corporation) and Bauer both publish indie/rock magazines for Q & NME and Kerrang respectively.

• I would like to choose IPC to distribute my magazine because I believe they are the most suitable to portray the indie genre I have created in my music magazine. The reason I have not chosen Bauer is because they are more specialised to Kerrang which is a lot more heavy rock and roll whereas I’m trying to go for a softer style so I believe IPC would suit my magazine better as the style of my magazine is much similar to that of Q and NME than of Kerrang.

• This publisher would make sure that it would be successful with the target audience and would be able to put it across in the best possible way.

• This would also boost the popularity of the magazine as it would be associated with a magazine such as Q and NME.
