Standard Process
Evaluated Receipt Settlement
The self-billing procedure allows you to settle shipment costs without needing to receive an invoice. In addition to the option of receiving an invoice from the service agent for the transportation services rendered, you can also have the service agent create a credit memo. In this case, the shipment costs calculated are forwarded directly to FI. The payment is then checked by the payee.
The freight costs, which are calculated and determined by the system are transferred directly to the accounting department, where the liabilities are then posted and the acrruals diminshed. Controlling payments is thus transferred to and conducted by the payee.

This depicts the acquisition of services of a forwarding company by a customer. There takes place no goods movement in the system because solely services are purchased and not physical goods in that sense.Although physical inventory and stocks are not affected by this process, goods receipt is posted on the basis of a service entry sheet.Service entry sheets (Leistungsblatt) entail the account assignment data of each relavant shipment.

Shipment variations
Single ShipmentTruck is commissioned by a single sales organisation. The complete load is produced in one single factory.Consequently, the vendor account of the corresponding sales organization is debited by the transportation service provider.
Multiple ShipmentsTruck is commissioned by more than one sales organization. The complete load is produced at a single factory.
Extended Multiple ShipmentsOne truck is commissioned either by one sales organization or more than one sales organization. The load which is shipped to the customer is produced at more than one factory. In this variation trucks take the produced goods from the different production facilities to a collection point.Where they are grouped into one complete load which is then taken to the customer goods receipt facilities.

The price lists of each forwarding agent is transferred into the ERP system. Preferably with an upload program. When entering the shipment cost document, the prices from the price lists are inserted automatically in the pricing procedure of each shipment cost document according to the pre-determined pricing strategy. The prices are displayed on the self-billing form and in the invoice receipt. These prices display the liabilities to the service provider/vendor in the financial accounting.
