MOTHER TONGUE ITALIAN
SOCIAL SKILLS
AND COMPETENCES
Living and working with other people, in
multicultural environments, in positions
where communication is important and
situations where teamwork is essential
(for example culture and sports), etc.
I have been working as a teacher of Italian for foreigners for many years trying
to set learners at ease in the learning of Italian culture and customs, frequently
in a cross-cultural perspective. I strongly believe the dépaysement, which is
often necessary in the foreign language learning, should not be conceived and
taught in a traumatic manner. The refresher courses I have attended at ILSA in
Firenze (Italy) and my teaching activity carried out over ten years have enabled
me to achieve an excellent technical-theoretical experience to fulfil the cultural
mediator task. The DITALS certification (certificate for teaching Italian to
foreigners) issued by the University for Foreigners of Siena is a good title to
work as a teacher of Italian language strictly according to the scientific and
professional methods and principles necessarily required by this field
ORGANISATIONAL SKILLS
AND COMPETENCES
Coordination and administration of
people, projects and budgets; at work, in
voluntary work (for example culture and
sports) and at home, etc.
The interpreter, translator and language teaching tasks are inexhaustible
sources to achieve theoretical and practical organization skills. The syllabus in
daily didaxis with teaching units to prepared for each lesson or meetings,
activities including public relations that the interpreter vocation required have
generated in me a strong propensity to organize events related to simultaneous
and consecutive translation using the right equipment.
