Quarry Divisions
To sustain unhindered supply of processed quarry products to our clients, we have acquired a
sprawling quarry complex in various parts of Kerala. The stone quarry has vast reserves of granite.
The bulk of our regular stone requirement is sourced from this stone pit. Significant investment
has been done to bring up the quarry operations at par with international quarrying counterparts.
Each nook and corner of the pit is accessible by wide roads which further augment our productivi-
ty. We are engaged in continuous upgrading of the quarrying facilities to harness the true potential
of our valuable asset.
We have embraced cutting edge techniques to streamlines the mining operations. Contemporary
and advanced equipment as well as technologies are in place within the pit to conduct operations
in tandem with global benchmarks. We pride ourselves for being able to fulfil demand of any scale
for crushed products without experiencing any problems and within committed deadlines. We
have the infrastructure, resource base, wherewithal, cutting edge technology, skilled manpower,
transit provisions and latest facilities to conduct quarrying on large scale and meet all instanta-
neous and wholesale processed product demands.
The Group has entered into business during 1978 with the Concrete Aggregates indus-
tries Ernakulam which has a capacity of 200 tons of products per hour. The first 4way high way Cherthala – Aroor for which the
entire material was supplied by us from this quarry.
Our another unit at Kannur, New Bharath Stone Crusher having capacity of 300 tons
per hour which is presently taking care of the need of Kannur airport and national high way
works other than the normal local needsThis unit is equipped with state of the art
Sandvik CJ 411 Primary Jaw Crusher, Second-ary Jaw Crusher, Sandvik Cone crusher, VSI and Classifiers for M-sand and plastering
sand separately.
Esskay Industries and Blue Mountain Granites has started at Thrissur district with
the capacity of 200 tons per hour each.
We have added our next unit Granite India at Valanchery, Malappuram district which
has a capacity of 100 tons per hour.
The group has finalized all required license
from various departments and authorities to
start the most modern unit at Palakkad
district which will have a capacity of 300
tons per hour.
Our crusher plants is equipped with state of the art Sandvik CJ 411 Primary Jaw Crusher,
Secondary Jaw Crusher, Sandvik Cone crusher, VSI and Classifiers for M-sand. Comprehensive
safety mechanisms are in place at the crusher to prevent any deviation from the manufacturer
recommended machinery operation and to steer clear of any untoward incident.
We have deployed the entire array of state of the art material handling technologies in our stone
crushing plant to facilitate seamless movement of stones from one equipment to other all
through the process, right from raw material unloading up to stockpiling of finished products. Our
crushing paraphernalia is constituted of feeders, apron feeders, belt feeders, vibratory feeders,
conveyors, apron conveyors, belt conveyors and bucket elevators. We have a dedicated mainte-
nance team comprising of experienced mechanical and electrical engineering professionals who
chalk out and implement scheduled, preventive and condition based monitoring at pre-defined
intervals.
Safety and Environmental Consciousness
Government of Kerala has accorded our quarry the legal license to operate. We have acquired
‘Environmental Clearance’ from Ministry of Environment and Forest (MoEF) as well as Pollution
Control Board, Mining and Geology, Mines Safety, Explosives
In our quarry, we have special arrangements to suppress dust from getting airborne. Water
sprin-kling provision, utilization of surface water for controlling fugitive dust, and tapping of mist
and spring waters for maintaining adequate water reserves for spraying reflect our strong desire
to curb noxious dust.
We have secured explosives magazine license from PESO (Petroleum and Safety Organization) to
conduct hazard free blasting. Blasting is conducted in observance of the norms stipulated by
Mines Act 1952, Mine Regulations 2014 and Kerala Minor Minerals Concessions Rules 2015. To
control the propagation of blast induced ground vibration to inhabited areas in close proximity to
the quarry as well as to prevent instances of fly rocks, we have instituted robust ‘Muffle Blasting
System’. Team of experts from NITK, Surathkal was engaged to conduct comprehensive ground
vibration study and to certify the efficiency of our endeavours for controlling vibration.
Within the ambit of our quarrying and crushing operations, we conduct Ambient Noise, Air and
Water pollution tests twice in a year by accredited third party. Our Environmental Cell has been
constituted to exhibited unwavering compliance to the norms of MoEF.
Our Technological Strides
We are committed to undertake every step to reduce the exposure of our employees to safety
hazards. Each of our workmen has been provided with necessary PPE (Personal Protective
Equip-ment) such as fluorescent jackets, ear muff, nose filter, safety goggles, hand gloves, safety
shoes etc. to reduce vulnerability to any unsafe condition. Regular safety audits are conducted to
ensure the integrity of the adopted safe practices.
The approval to operate HEMM (Heavy Earth Moving Machinery) has been sought from DGMS. We
have the sanctioned strength of qualified technical personnel as per the requirement of DGMS.
The capacities of our HEMM and haul trucks are in line with the quantum and quality of quarry
and final products to be supplied by us as per our annual operating plan’s projections.
We have showcased our desire to fulfil the aspirations of each and every stakeholder and as such
have acquired the permission of local village council for operating quarry.
We have conducted all prescribed tests for Aggregates and M-Sand from Civil Aid, Bangalore.
Hygienic, well-appointed and salutary residential quarters have been provided to our workers at
two places close to the quarry. We have made provisions for potable drinking water, electricity
and other civic amenities to ensure optimum productivity.
We regularly engage in CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities to promote the welfare of
the society for which we operate. A portion of our operational expenses annually is earmarked for
driving CSR initiatives in the area. We believe that significant part of the profits accruing from any
professional venture should be diverted towards accomplishing the nobler objectives of the
human society i.e. promote the welfare of the deprived communities in whose vicinity we operate.
Collective growth is our CSR motto.

Our Mine planning and operation segment is manned by qualified and experienced mining
engineers. We also engage mining consultants periodically to give definitive direction to our short
and long term plans. The technical team for mine planning is headed by Mines Manager with suffi-
cient years of relevant Indian and international mining experience under his belt. A visionary, he
possesses comprehensive knowledge of the most contemporary of technical strides in the mining
industry and pegs the production target by factoring in all attributes conducive to safe and
smooth operations.
With a strong belief that we should serve the society of which we are a part to the best of
our capabilities to, we have initiated various gestures of compassion. The venture has always
shown justice towards its obligation to mankind. We have immensely supported road develop-
ment in areas near us by providing basic infrastructure. To the financially downtrodden, we aid
in home renovation and even in building new homes. Besides, we also fund medical camps and
other charity activities including donations to the economically grieving communities nearby.
