Erratum

In the article by Rinella et al entitled "Dual-Echo, Chemical Shift Gradient-Echo Magnetic Resonance hnaging to Quantify Hepatic Steatosis: Implications for Living Liver Donation, " which appeared in the August 2003 issue (Vol 9, No 8, pp 851-856), there is an error on page 853 in the formula used to calculate the steatosis index (SI).

The correct formula used to calculate the findings in the paper is SI IP-OP/( IP+OP) / I .54 (IP in-phase image signal intensity, OP opposed-phase image signal intensity, 1.54 the correction needed to account for the increased brightness of fat on T1 weighted imaging).
