Hefting big parts into a machining center is not always that easy. Set-ting-up times on the center eat up productivity. Setting-up while the machine is at work and automatic loading/unloading processes are the order of the day. EROWA‘s Robot Heavy solves this problem, also for individual parts.
GripperDesigned for pallets of up to 600 800 mm, the gripper will move weights of up to 500kg safely into the machine. The inte-grated draining basin ensures cleanness, which catches chips and residual coolant.
Pallet identificationPallets are already automatically identified on the setting-up station. EWIS™ Rapid registers all the pallets and transmits their availability to the cell computer.
Loading stationThe loading or setting-up station is open and accessible from all sides, and it offers every convenience for the preparation and loading/unloa-ding for big, heavy workpieces.
Transfer axisThe maximum range of 1500 mm allows for big machines to be loa-ded/unloaded as well. The maximum weight of 500 kg (pallet and workpi-ece) leaves hardly any wishes unful-filled.
MagazinesBasically, the magazines have two or three levels according to your choice. With two levels, the maximum height of a loaded pallet may be 850 mm.
Magazine position managementPrepared pallets are transferred to the magazine at the push of a button. The internal logic will check whether the position that has been assigned is actually unoccupied.
