EP FIX SBA MW is a solvent-free two-component epoxy resin product formulated with special fillers and thixotropic agents. The product has been especially formulated to comply the requirements for bonding segment of prefabricated segmental bridge.

EP FIX SBA MW is a solvent free high modulus, high strength bonding epoxy adhesive for precast segment of bridge that tolerates a slight moisture grade in the substrate.The consistency of a soft thixotropic putty paste makes EP FIX SBA MW a very easy to apply no sag product for the structural bonding of prefabricated element of concrete bridges.

This adhesive offers a thorough bond that not only waterproof and protect from corrosion the joints along the cross section of segmental bridges to which they are applied, and facilitate full transmission of compressive, tensile and shear forces between the units.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

SURFACE PREPARATION ‣ Before spreading this product, clean every surface and remove any blooming and loose parts.

MIXINGEP FIX SBA MW is made up of:

A - base formula

B - hardener

Remove components A and B, and blend with a putty knife or drill or other suitable mixer at low speed until well blended. Avoid removing partial quantities from packaging to pre- vent any errors in the ratio that might cause incomplete or unsuccessful hardening

APPLICATIONUsing a trowel, brush, or gloved hand, apply EP FIX SBA MW to the prepared surfaces of both segments to be joined. Work into the substrate to ensure complete wetting out of the surface area. Secure the segments firmly together within the open working time of the adhesive.

EP FIX SBA MW is available in drums:

• (A+B)=5kg+5kg=10kg

• (A+B)=10kg+10kg=20kg

This product keeps its features unchanged for one year if properly stored in its original package in dry rooms at a temperature between + 10 and +30°C.

PACKAGING AND STORAGE

CLEANUPUncured EP FIX SBA MW can be removed with approved solvent. Collect with absorbent material. Flush area with water. Dispose of in accordance with local, state, and federal disposal regulations. Cured EP FIX SBA MW can only be removed mechanically.
