Entrepreneurship Allan Hancock College is a California public community college in northern Santa Barbara County serving more than 11,000 credit students each semester. The college offers degrees and certificates in more than 100 fields of study from accounting to welding. The college has a campus in Santa Maria and centers in Lompoc, Solvang, and at Vandenberg AFB. EntrepreneurshipAllan Hancock College’s entrepreneurship program is designed to teach you the comprehensive skills needed to create and run your own business and become a successful entrepreneur. Our program will provide you with an understanding of the complex tasks faced by individuals starting and sustaining a small business. The entrepreneurship program covers a wide variety of business disciplines that can be applied to the real world. These skills will give graduates a competitive edge in the business arena.

As a student you will learn small business management, Internet marketing and presentation practices, in addition to the study of business law and human relations. Using this knowledge, you will develop the skills necessary to apply significant business principles and produce work-based learning projects.

As a graduate of the entrepreneurship program you will have gained technical knowledge in recalling business issues, theories, and applications relevant to running your own small business.

Recently the Office for Entrepreneurship and Innovation was established by President Obama’s Department of Commerce to bolster startup companies.
