EDITORIALWelcome to English 4 Toddlers

Is our first edition of this magazine. We worked very hard to get this result. We wanted to focus on how to teach English to little children, with the help of the parents. You will find articles direct to parents, and how they will contribute in the learning of their own children. Also as parents are the first teachers in a children’s life, they have to understand the need that their children have when they are learning a new language.

Additionally, we create activities to make the process of learning a little bit funnier. So, take your time with you children and participate with them in this acquisition of a new language. English is important nowadays, so take advantage of this magazine.

learn a new language, more thanadolescents and adults. Specially little kids,they have the ability to imitate thepronunciation, so it would not be a problemfor them, learn new words. According to anAmerican linguistic Noam Chomsky, babiesacquired the language through theenvironment. He postulated every humanbeing has a part in our brains that it is forgrammatical knowledge.

So, if parents know English they should talkto their babies in that language. As their childgrows they can teach them English, Chomskysaid that the best age to learn languages it isbetween 7 and 12. When children reach thepuberty their ability to learn diminishes, andthey have to learn English at school becauseit is mandatory.

When children learn Englishthey are also learning a newculture, and maybe they wouldlike to learn it in an academicway in the future. It depends inthe number of sessions orclasses that the kid has. He orshe will begin to say somewords, and gradually they willcreate sentences. Somechildren have betterunderstanding than speaking, ifthe children make mistakesparents should not correctthem, because they will feelfrustrated.

According to what I just exposedin here, school in Chile should putmore effort in teaching thisworldwide language and extendthe basic content beyond of whatis usually taught in theclassrooms. Many times we wonder why the child behaves well. What we can do as a parents to help in his or her behavior.

As you can see this is common when the Little children recently is learning to talk or they are forming,understanding several things of their environment.

To catch the children’s attention,we can do many activities or games.

It not easy,but in the following article we will let you know some tips to do the learning peasant and maybre with this article you would control your children If they are too messy.

Also it is important stand out when thechild is in preschool age who haveseveral attentional problems andsimply heor she does not listen whensomeone is talking.In the future ismore exposed to failure.

A study from University of California, agroup of scientifics achieved resolvethat the deficiency or inattention cancurb the learning of the child,andwhen those things happend in thepreschool state is probably that thelearning cycle later would be astumbling block in the academicperformance in the future.

There are other reasons that can catchchildren’s attention in a way moregeneralized.

There we have some tips for activitiesto concentration for toddlers.

Create a list of things and enumerate it:depending the age of the toddler, weask for the different things to the childto bring it, and see if they catch the ideathen check if the child achieved withthe things written in the list.

Teach a word: then use the word in asentence or between other words. Ifthe child recognized the word theyneed to raise their hands. So, that wayparents will know if the child islearning.

Put the things in order: put severalwords in English on a table or anysurface. Then, mix them. And the childhas to recognize the words.Wear some ornaments: Catch children’sattention, and disappear some objectsfrom you and ask them which things arenot there in English.These activities or tips help you to getvisual attention and the auditory bothare very important to gain ability in thestudy and help with exercise thememory.Every time are you want Children’sattention with activities or games, thosemust be fun because we have tomotivate the kid at the moment of learn.

Little toddlers love colors, so it is a goodtopic to teach them. Because it is easy toteach and learn.

The first step is explain the name of eachcolor and the correct prononciation. Givesome example to the child to develop aconnection between each thing that are withthe same color.

Repeat and make sure that the childunderstood the content.
