Vision & Mission

VISION

Striving for a symbiosis of

Technological Excellence and Human

Values. To arm young brains with

competitive technology and nurture

holistic development of the individuals

for a better tomorrow.

MISION

Reva strives to set new benchmarks in

imparting world class education to its

students by ensuring inputs for professional

excellence, interactive learning environment

and industry orientation through its highly

qualified faculty, staff and empowering

infrastructure.

Page 5: Engineering UG & PG

Reva ITM is one of the fastest growing institutes in Karnataka. It got it s NBA accreditation in a record period of 6 years from its inception for all the eligible programs of engineering. We feel proud in rounding up a stalwart faculty force to rival that of the other premier institutions in the city. With the total built up area nearing35 acres, we strongly feel we are on the verge of a breakthrough of being recognized as one of the cream of the crop colleges in Bangalore.

Bangalore is the silicon capital of the nation with abundant industries in the area of information technology, electronics and mechanical engineering. This gels perfectly with the disciplines provided by the institution. The environment is perfect for setting up a home for some of the brightest students in the Silicon Valley.

With the incredible amount of training initiatives that are in full swing, our technocrats will hopefully achieve great heights in the near future. Simultaneously, the task of getting the campus ready to churn out whiz kids of tomorrow by integrating more research labs is in progress.

About Us

Page 6: Engineering UG & PG

Prinicpal's Message

Our mission is not just providing a solid educational foundation but to build their

careers by being a fully-equipped vessel to help them on their journey of transforming

raw passion of being engineers to eminent personalities in the career path they have

chosen. We encourage them to dive head first into their field, get involved with

research and project work and meet like minded individuals so that at the end of the

day, the industry doors are always open for them.

Reva ITM is located on a beautiful campus,

surrounded with abundant greenery and

serenity. I strongly feel that the future of India is

shaped in class rooms. Since an institution is

judged by the quality of the students passing out,

we are of the opinion that the education we offer

should develop competent talented personalities

equipped with knowledge, skills and confidence

along with a strong patriotic spirit and will to

serve the society. The management, faculty and

staff of Reva ITM are fully aware of their

responsibilities in life-building and character-

shaping of the student community.

Page 7: Engineering UG & PG

We experience on a daily basis the belief of the

students that a significant difference is waiting to be

made just around the corner. We help them mold their

sound academic knowledge with the necessary skills to

perform well in group activities. Primarily, they are just

made aware of the intricacies of the supporting skill-

sets that each person must possess for the industry to

accept them as complete individuals.

From an insider point of view, the entrees in our

college from the middle tier of CET and COMED-K

ranks of around 8000 has evolved so much over the

years in the healthy academic environment set by

the motivating and counseling prowesses of the

faculty. Any form of sales pitch cannot even remotely

cover all the aspects of their skill-sets. It is enough to

say that you will find what you will come looking for.

Beyond Academics

Revamp

The annual fest held at the outset of the odd

academic session draws teams from all over south

India. In addition to providing everyone with a

fresh, raw perspective of the sheer amount of

cultivated talent in the Silicon Valley, it also made

the students feel how far they have come and how

far they still have to go. The enormity of the

festival and the thoroughly diversified cultural,

technical, sports and literary events provides

ample exposure for the students to hone their

management skills.

Hostel Life Reva ITM is home to around 5000 students,

under-graduates and post-graduates, having come

up from diverse cultural/social neighborhoods.

Hostellers go the extra mile beyond academic

rivalry in competitive recreational activities, each

playing to their strength while exploring challenges

without attrition.

A typical scene in the hostel at night would be

a bunch of hostellers playing a fast-paced

handball match, brainstorming an aggressive chess

opening or simply debating on the effectiveness of

various Dota strategies.

Page 29: Engineering UG & PG

Sports

Sports are a vital part of development for any individual as they contribute to physical fitness, drive for excellence and develop the team spirit and leadership qualities. The students compete amongst themselves in inter class sports competitions and VTU Inter colligate sports competitions and our students have participated in majority of the events in the previous VTU Inter colligate sports meet.

REVA ITM is well equipped with all modern facilities for sports. Students words hard throughout the year for VTU inter collegiate sports. REVA ITM students have exemplary records in these events as well as in various state and national level sports competition.

Regular practice sessions for a large variety of sports like Basketball, Football, Cricket and Table Tennis. Not only keep students on their toes but also helps develop true sportsmanship, real time decision making and team work the fruit of the efforts put in by the students and supports staff has shown well through strong performances in the VTU Inter collegiate sports completion.

REVA ITM Points scored by institution under the scheme of sports promotion of VTU Affiliated Colleges 2004-11.

Beyond Academics

Page 30: Engineering UG & PG

Beyond Academics

Student Forums

The Student forums represent the student body to

the administration and provide outlets for students to

be involved in meaningful activities that support the

overall development of the students. Each

department has a forum like RACE of CSE dept., ARISE

of ISE dept., FORCE of ECE dept., MAFIA of

Mechanical dept., ELITE of EEE dept. METRICS of MCA

dept., ACE of Civil dept. and MARC of MBA dept.

These forums are actively involved in overall

development of the students. They conduct guest

lectures, workshops and conferences along with

celebrating Engineers day, Teachers day, Ganesh

Chaturthi, IEEE Day, etc. The forums also drive

initiatives like Knowledge Sharing initiative, Puzzles

contest, Professional Connect, Resume Contest,

Group Discussion, Formal Dress Contests and many

such other events to prepare them for

placements. They also get heavily involved in

activities of social cause like blood donation camps,

imparting knowledge to government school children.

Page 31: Engineering UG & PG

Beyond Academics

Counseling Department

The Counseling team consists of certified

Counselor and supported by mentors. The

student Counseling department promotes

qualitative improvements in the campus life of

students. The department helps students to

accomplish their personal, professional and

academic goals through counseling, consultation,

outreach programs and in-campus campaigns.

The department is committed to match the

services to the needs of a culturally diverse

student population living in campus or off-

campus.

To ensure the sustainability of the mentoring

system a concrete feed back procedures in place.

Grading sheets are used to evaluate the feed

back of every student at 15days interval and

acted upon. Apart from this the mentors meet

and interactive sessions with mentees and the

mentor at regular intervals and thus contribute

to a healthy & learning ecosystem at Reva ITM.

Process Flow of Student Counseling

Page 32: Engineering UG & PG

The Training & Placement Office

The Training & Placement (T&P) department is the chief facilitator for the students to obtain the

placements that best suit them and is primarily a liaison between Industry and the Institute.

The Training wing consistently researches and interacts with the recruiters to understand their

expectations from prospective students and creates and executes the annual roadmap for training.

The entire process of training unlike tradition systems, covers the essential techniques to solve

logical and aptitude problems. It also opens up avenues to improvise on their conversational and

oratory skills, personality and competency in strengthening the technical concepts while extending

the application of the concepts in real time systems. By this process, they are enabled to satisfy the

expectations of the industry.

The placement wing of the department handles all aspects of campus placements for the

graduating students at Reva ITM. The Placement process is initiated with a clear focus on all levels

of companies that are contacted and invited for the campus recruitment drive which matches all
