School Day Hours

• The instructional school day begins each day at 7:20. You are tardy after 7:20.

• If you arrive to school late, check in at the attendance office with Ms. Olayo. She will record your tardy and notify the community office.

• The school day ends at 2:30 on M,T,Th,F.• The school day ends at 1:30 on Wednesday.• According to district policy, no early pick up is

allowed.

Tardy Policy- Start on Time

What happens if you do not make it to class on time? It is an Elsik Expectation that 9th Grade students be in class on time.

BEGINNING Wednesday, SEPTEMBER 4, 2013TARD-Tardiness (per nine weeks)

1st offense- Warning/Parent Contact by Community each period after clipboard is returned to community offices.

2nd offense- Warning/Parent Contact by Community each period after clipboard is returned to community offices.

3rd, 4th, 5th offense- Referral is generated from spreadsheet, Lunch Detention assigned in 409, Parent Contact by AP

6th, 7th, 8th offense- PM Detention, T/Th, Parent Conference required and behavior contract signed by student/parent and AP

9th offense- Mandatory Parent Conference, sign pending CLC contract

10th offense- PLMC- Parent Conference for CLC placement CLC- Campus Learning Class is a class for students who need to work on a target behavior for

an extended period of time. Removal from regular classes is needed to work on the target behavior

IDs

• ID cards must be worn at all times while at school and on the school bus. You may only wear your ID.

• Do not write or put stickers on your ID badge. Students will have a sticker identifying them as Main Campus.

• Replacement cost for lost ID is $5.00.• Temporary IDs are sold for .25 before school in

cafeteria, community A or attendance office.

In-class teacher Procedures

• Tape a new “In-class ID/Tardy Sheet to your door every morning

• Actively check students for ID as they enter your room• Allow students without IDs to enter class after recording

their name and ID Number on sheet taped to the door• After the tardy bell, close and lock your door.

Hallway Duty Procedures

• Collect Clipboard(s) for your assigned location– Main Office Mail Box Area – Upper 100– Community B – 300 Hallway & 400 Hallway– Library - 500 Hallway– Community B – 600 Hallway & 700 Hallway– Community C –Lower 100 and 900 Hallway

• Actively monitor your assigned area before the tardy bell rings

• Once tardy bell rings, record the names and ID numbers of students still in your assigned hallway on your clipboard

• Quietly escort students into their correct class• Once this is done, begin recording the names of

students who need IDs from the lists taped to the doors• Return all clipboards to the nearest Community Office
