Why Videos?Active learning provides options for varying learning styles, requires synthesis of course content, and allows students to more readily see connections between course content and real life implications (Holderied, 2011).

Studies have shown that active instructional research sessions can decrease student anxiety during the research process (Deltor, Booker, Serenko & Julien, 2012).

Videos and other multimedia content have long proven to be more engaging than all-text based tutorials for course content (Scales, Nicol & Johnson, 2014).

Scalability Instructors can incorporate a video creation project into their courses at little to no cost through the use of free applications and available hardware. Options include:
