Morning Prayers
From military to NHS
Originally it was more about:
• Team building
• Discussing problems
• Reflecting
• Information sharing
• AND eventually what was happening that day
Needed to move with the times.
• Develop something that was more operational
• Short sharp and delivers
• Needed to be to the point
• Only discuss key elements
• Keeping everyone focused
• Problem solving
• Motivating the staff
• Ultimately to increase productivity
From this
Morning prayers was renamed
The Huddle
The Huddle
Key points:
• Need to ensure everyone was engaged and
listening
• Everyone should be Standing up
• Stood around the allocation board
• Idle chatter to be discouraged
• At the end of the 5 minute huddle the team
should be ready to hit the road running!
