Endodontics MSc /

This programme aims to develop the skills requiredto enable independent practice of endodontics at alevel above special interest but below specialist. Itis studied either full-time over one year or part-timeover two years and has a strong clinical bias.

 Degree summary 

The programme aims to develop a broad understanding of endodontics,including basic principles and how to apply them clinically.

// Students benefit from a comprehensive curriculum, opportunities forself-directed learning, a clinically relevant laboratory techniquescourse, emphasis on integration of theoretical and clinical aspects,and prioritised reading recommendations. The broad flexibleapproach allows scope for the pursuit of individual academicinterests.

The programme is delivered through a structured lecture/seminar series,skills laboratory simulation courses, diagnostic clinics, supervisedtreatment of patients, case conferences and a research project leadingto a dissertation. Students are encouraged to develop a range ofvocation-specific and transferable skills.

 Degree structure 

Mode: Full-time: 1 year; Part-time: 2 years

Location: London, Bloomsbury

Students undertake modules to the value of 180 credits. The programmeconsists of five core modules (120 credits) and a research dissertation(60 credits).

 Your career 

Graduates of this programme have generally progressed to specialistendondontics roles within the dental or medical professions or aslecturers.

Employability

The programme’s strong emphasis on integrated development ofmultiple domains produces well-rounded clinicians with the competenceand aptitude for developing and delivering a high-quality andpredictable clinical service in endodontics.

 Entry requirements 

All applicants must hold an approved dental qualification and have aminimum of two years' clinical experience.

English language proficiency level

If your education has not been conducted in the English language, youwill be expected to demonstrate evidence of an adequate level ofEnglish proficiency.

The level of English language proficiency for this programme is: Good.
