Endeavour Parent Spotlight

National Grandparents’ Day was Sunday, September 8th. Many of our student’s grandparents play a very important role in their lives, including their education. One grandparent that is well known in our school due to her consistent involvement, from being a part of our Parent Advisory Committee and Cabinet to volunteering her time, even after working overnight, to baking delicious cakes and brownies for our meetings is Ms. LaTonya Harp.

Ms. Harp has three grandchildren attending Endeavour Elementary, Lorenzo - 1st grade, Lyrica - PK, and India - VPK. The three students were all smiles in their picture and excitedly stated what they like best about school. “Math!” Lorenzo exclaimed while both girls stated they liked “the food!” Good job Cafeteria Staff!!

Ms. Harp also explained what she likes best about Endeavour. “The caring staff. Students come from all different backgrounds and the love that is shown to them is amazing.” She also stated that she likes the way the school tries so hard to keep parents involved and “let their voices be heard.”

Ms. Harp then explained why she stays so involved. “I love children, some of them I wish I could take home with me.” After explaining that Endeavour has not always had a good name associated with it, she stated, “If we keep doing what we are doing and what all we are doing together, the bad name will be a thing of the past and every year Endeavour will get better and better.” She ended by saying, “God Bless You All.”

“Unity is strength….when there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved.” - Mattie Stepanek
