BackgroundTheCentreCareerDevelopmentandPlacementatKenyattaUniversityadministersprogrammesand provides services in career developmentfor its prospective and continuing students,and alumni. This is achieved through careercounseling programmes and employmenteducation,resourceroomwithcareerreferencematerials and internet resources, trainedpersonnel as well as guidance in securingattachment, internship and employmentopportunities.The CCDP also co-ordinates practicum andattachmentprogrammesinover20departmentsof the University. The centre manages anational placement and posting programmefor KU students, their field supervision andassessment, as well as the administration ofdata –base and linkageswith attaching firms,organizationsandindustry.
