With no green tights in sight, this wild and unique PETER PAN lands on the New Victory stage. Under the spell of infectious make-believing, you and your students are sure to un-grow up and fly along with them: "second star to the right and straight on till morning!"

Provide this resource to all teachers and chaperones attending the show.

• The play PETER PAN takes place using only one set: the Darling children’s bedroom. Watch as the actors transform this space into their own version of Neverland!

• This is Belvoir’s second presentation with The New Victory Theater. In 2012, they enthralled audience members with their remarkable production of The Book of Everything.

• Director Ralph Myers and the cast spent hours of rehearsal playing childhood fantasy games. They even played hide and seek during their breaks.

heads up There are many versions of the PETER PAN story. Your students may be most familiar with Disney’s Peter Pan. Students might expect to see a boy dressed in green tights flying through the air, but that is not the case for this production. Encourage your students to let go of any preconceived notions about PETER PAN and enjoy this remarkable twist to a classic tale!

How do you think the performers are going to adapt the story of PETER PAN?

If Peter Pan came to take you to Neverland, what’s the one thing you would bring?

Would you want to never grow up? Why would someone want to be young forever?

What is the difference between theater and make-believe?

Distribute the following page in this section to your students’ families with the field trip permission slips! This page contains information and pre and post-show activities that will enable families to further enrich their kid’s New Vic experience.

On , your child will see PETER PAN at The New Victory Theater on

42nd Street. The New Victory Theater is dedicated to bringing

extraordinary performing artists from around the globe to kids and families in New York City.
