emerging markets and the internet of things: why devices designed for high-income countries...
DESCRIPTION
DtM CEO Timothy Prestero spoke on the main stage at the inaugural O'Reilly Solid Conference, looking at the intersection of hardware and software. Tim presented the vision for a novel data service that would track medical equipment in developing countries. The data service would enable the global health community to understand which devices have the greatest potential social impact and represent the greatest environmental impact if they are discarded. This presentation is part of a series on Lessons Learned from the Design and Launch of Firefly Phototherapy, supported by the Lemelson Foundation.
