GREETINGSFROM MARCO TULIO

My friends,

Revamped Newsletter Debuts

I am proud to share with you the first issue of our revised newsletter – The Embraer Advantage. It is the latest reflection of our commitment to evolve the materials we bring you in order to ensure they remain helpful, relevant and hopefully, a bit entertaining. As I write this note, we are returning from NBAA 2015. By any measure it was a very successful show for both the business aviation industry, and for those who fly our aircraft.Embraer Executive Jets celebrated our 10-Year Anniversary at this year’s show – and it was wonderful to look back on what has been achieved: From certifying four clean-sheet designs, to delivering more than 930 aircraft, to attaining more than 1.4 million flight hours. It has been an amazing journey – and one only possible because of you. Now, we are ready for the next 10 – and beyond.Past achievements are merely springboards for greater things to come. To remain successful, we must constantly reshape and rethink what we know – and do so with a dedication to discover better ways to serve those who have made Embraer their aircraft of choice. We consider you as family and, like all good families, we want to nurture our bond and keep it strong. My goal is not to have us attain the greatest market share or dominate every segment. Rather, it is to simply be the best. The best products. The best support. The best experience. If we deliver on this goal our future will be assured, because we will become a brand that enjoys the distinct advantage of heartfelt desire, rather than just numbers. Unconventional? Perhaps. But being unconventional is at the heart of every aircraft we build. Challenging the status quo. Not accepting things as they are, but constantly striving to make them better. We call it rethinking convention, and I am so glad to have you join us.

Enjoy the issue.

Embraer Executive Jets Unveils New Brand Strategy

Rethink Convention

Embraer Executive Jets has grown quickly in just 10 years to become a leader in business aviation, largely on the merits of our products. Our new brand, which was announced publicly at NBAA in Las Vegas, will enable us to build on our product reputation, with a strong and unified voice that reflects the heart and soul of our company. The fundamental aspect of a brand’s character is the brand platform, and it is the simplest expression of what the brand represents to the widest range of audiences. The brand platform is what most people think of when they hear the name Embraer Executive Jets. Our brand platform can be properly expressed in four words: Challenge the Status Quo. This platform should be reinforced whenever possible – from strategy to tactics, to thinking, to personal actions and behavior, to all of our communications and interactions. Embraer is not your typical business jet manufacturer. We are a fascinating departure from the norm in business aviation. As such, we should express our brand promise this way: “To challenge the status quo in business aviation by continually redefining what’s possible.” Using this promise as a core tenet of our actions and communication will ensure our brand remains relevant and differentiated. Ultimately, we must remember that people are our brand. The brand experience means that regardless of our role at Embraer – delivering a new aircraft, fielding a late-night call from a stranded customer or sending an email – everything we do affects our reputation, and thereby our brand. At Embraer, we want our interactions to surprise, delight and captivate our audiences – from our smallest vendor to our largest customer. Customers trust a company’s brand when their experiences with it – from sales, to communications, to personal interactions – are in alignment, and consistently meet or exceed their expectations. Every interaction with customers should always be personalized, friendly, dedicated, genuine and professional. Together we are challenging the status quo. Finally, a company’s slogan must be easy to remember and sum up the company’s brand, attributes and promise. Embraer Executive Jets’ new slogan – Rethink Convention – does just that, capturing the attitude behind our brand. It brings wonderful imagery to mind and, most important, it is a phrase that others in our brand “tribe” can enthusiastically embrace.

Certified Legacy 450’s First Delivery Nears

L450 Certification’s Campaign

0505

The mid-light Legacy 450 jet has received type certification from aviation agencies in Brazil (ANAC), the U.S. (FAA) and Europe (EASA) with its first delivery scheduled later this year.

The certification campaign comprised two prototype aircraft, the first with flight test instruments and the second with a production-conforming interior. The commonality between the Legacy 450 and the midsize Legacy 500, which entered service in late 2014, is about 95%.

The clean-sheet Legacy 450 met or surpassed all design goals, exceeding such targets as range, runway performance, hot-and-high takeoff distance and maximum payload.

The Legacy 450 and 500 are the first in their segments featuring digital flight controls with closed-loop full fly-by-wire technology, delivering a smooth, safe ride for both the cockpit and the cabin.

With its recently extended range of 2,900 nautical miles with four passengers, including NBAA IFR fuel reserves, the Legacy 450 can fly farther than any other mid-light jet, making nonstop flights from Los Angeles to Panama City, New York to Los Angeles, Orlando to Seattle and Las Vegas to Gander.

The Legacy 450 will enter the market as the fastest mid-light jet and the only one in its class with a 6-foot-tall flat-floor cabin, the largest in the category. Up to nine passengers can relax in a comfortable, quiet environment, enhanced by the best cabin pressurization in the category.

A Strategic Partnership

New Global Logistics Model

Embraer Executive Jets has teamed up with DHL and FedEx on the new global logistics model designed by Embraer for business aviation. The strategic partnership with the two major logistics service providers will optimize parts distribution worldwide as Embraer’s business jet fleet continues to grow rapidly. Embraer now has over 930 executive jets operating in more than 60 countries.

In this unprecedented partnership, DHL will be responsible for the global warehousing network, providing centralized control, visibility and transportation worldwide, while FedEx will be dedicated to parts distribution in the U.S., the world’s largest business aviation market. The model will be fully implemented in 2016.

Embraer selected DHL and FedEx because of both companies’ global footprint and relevant experience in the aerospace industry. This partnership will ensure best-in-class logistics service, offering overnight deliveries even when an order comes in late in the day. An integrated IT solution will offer real-time visibility and improved tracking. To optimize shipments, Embraer’s business aviation parts global hub, run by DHL, is strategically located in Memphis, Tennessee, U.S., 10 minutes away from FedEx’s global hub.

The new logistics network will feature two hubs in Brazil and the U.S., three regional distribution centers in Belgium, Singapore and China, and seven other storage locations strategically located in Asia, Europe, North America and South America to support about 75 owned and authorized service centers worldwide.

Upgrades to Add Comfort and Convenience

New Aircraft Enhancement Website Section

Engineers at Embraer Executive Jets are dedicated to developing enhancements that can be installed on aircraft after they have entered service, giving owners the opportunity to optimize their jets’ performance. However, before customers can opt for upgrades, they must be able to easily find and understand the benefits these enhancements will bring to their aircraft. In the past, it was difficult for customers to access and understand this information, because it was developed for the aircraft technicians who install the upgrades. Additionally, the information was available in multiple places, such as Embraer’s technical manuals and service bulletins, which were hard for customers to find and lacked details about the enhancements’ benefits.

08

In an effort to promote our entire line of enhancements in direct, easy-to-understand language, we have added a new section to our website called Aircraft Enhancements. Now, customers can visit one location to learn about the enhancements offered for each aircraft. The Aircraft Enhancements section is simple to navigate by choosing an aircraft model and accessing a list of available enhancements, along with a short, straightforward description about each of them.Although some of the upgrades add comfort and convenience, such as the premium seating package or enhanced payload, others can improve safety and performance, such as the synthetic vision system and electronic checklist.

Major Expansion Planned For European Service Center

New Service Center Le Bourget

In a major expansion of its global customer support and services network, Embraer Executive Jets is replacing its current Maintenance Service Center at Le Bourget Airport in Paris with a new 4,000 square meter (43,000 square feet) state-of-the-art facility that will provide full support to the company’s entire portfolio of aircraft, including our new midsize Legacy 500 and the mid-light Legacy 450, which is scheduled for delivery by the end of this year. Embraer Executive Jets’ new Le Bourget facility cements our position at Europe’s largest business aviation airport by doubling the size of the existing Le Bourget facility, which has been a key part of our global support network since 2008. The new hangar will provide full base maintenance for up to 12 Embraer business jets, including the ultra-large Lineage 1000E, and allows us to accommodate the growth of our regional fleet across Europe and Africa, which already accounts for 19% of our 867-strong global fleet and a sizeable 32% of the 288 large Embraer business jets currently in operation.

Customers will benefit from faster access to their aircraft and a more efficient route to downtown Paris, which is just 20 minutes from the new Embraer Executive Jets services unit. The service center offers premium office space, and its unrivaled location offers customers an amazing view of the airport, home to the biennial Paris Air Show. “We are continuously expanding our customer support and service infrastructure in anticipation of our fleet growth,” said Marco Túlio Pellegrini, President & CEO, Embraer Executive Jets, in announcing the new Le Bourget facility during this year’s European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition. “As the main hub for business aviation in Europe, Le Bourget is the base of our support operations in the region and plays a key role in our expansion strategy.”The new Embraer owned service center, which is scheduled to open in the second half of 2016, is part of our commitment to provide an unprecedented level of support to our customers.

DO WHAT SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE.THEN DO MORE OF IT.In the 10 short years of Embraer Executive Jets, we’ve certified not one, but four clean-sheet

designs. We elevated the standards for the light jet category—and then established a new

category of mid-size jets altogether. And today, the world’s most delivered business jet is an

Embraer. Such progress was only possible due to an amazing history building commercial and

military aircraft that achieved similar seemingly impossible accomplishments. Proving you can

come a long way in 10 years—when it’s preceded by 40 years of preparation.

CUSTOMER’S VIEW

A Successful Journey with Embraer

Marcelo Romanelli

Marcelo Romanelli, a former Embraer employee, has been involved with aviation since an early age. Marcelo spent more than 10 years at Embraer in a wide variety of roles and responsibilities.

When was your first contact with Embraer?I was involved with Embraer for over 10 years, ranging from the production line to the special projectsdepartment (I worked in the engineering department),and as a director of flight operations, a demonstratorpilot, a test pilot in certain scenarios, and as a flightoperations and product support liaison for Executive Jets.

What is your experience with the Legacy 650 andyour impressions about the aircraft? The product that I was most involved with was theLegacy platform, which went through a great evolutionover time. It was already a highly reliable product, accepted by commercial aviation. The aircraft hasproven itself in the market as something completelydifferent. It has proven itself to be a very reliable plane with very low operating costs, which are below any competitor in the market.

I personally fly in one of these planes. Everyone in mygroup is satisfied with the airplane -- the owners, theexecutives, the pilots and the Maintenance Department,so it meets our needs of flights with a slightly longerrange. The baggage compartment is accessible in flight, and the cabin is comfortable; you practically have a workstation inside the plane. It has two different types of Internet, a nice and fully equipped galley, three independent cabin sections and the (Honeywell) Ovation (Select) as the entertainment system, providing our passengers all-important information with the latest news automatically downloaded and touch-screen controls for easy access.

Do you have experience with other EmbraerExecutive Jets aircraft?I’m type rated in pretty much all Embraer Executive Jetsplatforms. My company added a Phenom 300 to the fleetabout seven months ago. This aircraft is giving passengers and the company not only comfort for the sector in which the plane operates, but, economically speaking, the market recognizes the direct operating cost as one of the lowest.

How would you describe your experience with Embraer Executive Jets’ Customer Support and Services? You have to have an excellent product support teambehind the whole operation, and Embraer has anexcellent team, with a proper channel of communication. It’s great to see everybody working in harmony andhaving a product support team from Embraer to serveone, two or three products.

And today, you see the company leaping from seventhplace in the ProPilot market research, which is one of themost reliable surveys in the country. Embraer jumpedfrom seventh place to first place; this is not common, noteveryone can do that without investing in people, withoutserious and impeccable work. I had no doubt thatthis day would come. Embraer has to maintain its DNA and make the most complex problems become simple so they can be resolved. The company has the resources and knows how to accomplish this, and now it has the challenge and responsibility of keeping the top position in this very competitive survey.

PEOPLE BEHINDTHE AIRCRAFT

Aviation veteran finds niche at Embraer

Carlos Roque

Carlos Roque has the ideal job for a lifelong airplane enthusiast who happens to be a perfectionist. “I have a streak of perfectionism in me that is often considered a liability,” said Carlos, who has worked as an assembly technician for Embraer Executive Jets in Melbourne, FL, USA since March 2012. “But here, I have a very constructive outlet that allows me to practice perfectionism in my job. I can’t imagine doing anything less than the best when it comes to airplanes.”Carlos began studying airplanes as a young child and later earned two associate degrees in aviation-related subjects, along with a private pilot license, a commercial pilot license and an airframe and powerplant (A&P) license. Before joining Embraer, he pursued his passion in wide-ranging commercial and general aviation jobs, ranging from an airline mechanic to piloting a small plane doing traffic surveillance for a radio station. “I wouldn’t really want to do anything other than aviation,” he said. “I was always a hands-on person, always wanting to know how things worked and then

how to operate them. I always looked up to aircraft as the epitome of machines.”At Embraer, Carlos prepares smaller components and the main electronics rack for installation on Phenom 100s and Phenoms 300s. To ensure the aircraft meet all standards, quality assurance inspectors monitor assembly processes daily and FAA inspectors pay visits to the facility, he said. “I have to be able to explain to a quality inspector or an FAA inspector exactly what I’m doing and how I’m doing it. I have to have my references – blueprints, parts lists – right at hand. I have to be able to demonstrate competence over all our processes.”Carlos said he is amazed at Embraer’s uncanny ability to consistently develop innovative aircraft that appeal to customers. “Somehow, Embraer sees exactly what the market needs and designs an airplane to meet those needs. Even if the market didn’t know they needed it before, once that airplane is available, they’re buying it. It’s all very exciting.”

Assembly technician Carlos Roque prepares the main electronics rack, called an LRU (line replaceable units) rack, for installation on an aircraft at the Phenom assembly facility in Melbourne, Florida.

Professional Pilot magazine featured the story, “Johnsonville Sausage links charities and customers with Legacy 650” detailing how the U.S.-based company uses its Legacy 650 as a key tool in managing its international operation as well as its worldwide charitable endeavors.

Business & Commercial Aviation reported on the results of a Legacy 650 operators survey, which concluded that no large-cabin business jet came close to the Legacy 650 in terms of “value for money.”

Jennifer Leach English, editorial director of Business Jet Traveler, flew as a guest of Embraer Executive Jets aboard the Lineage 1000E from Teterboro, New Jersey, to Las Vegas for NBAA 2015. During the flight, she interviewed Marco Tulio Pellegrini, President and CEO of Embraer Executive Jets, and reported on her flight experience aboard the ultra-large jet.
