anna passynkovaHi, I’m Anna, and this is my first year at Crafty Couture; an amazing, fun fashion camp in my area. Being at Crafty Couture has given me the opportunity to show my inner designer skills and to create very fashionable pieces of clothing. As my style and personality being cute and girly, the shoot was perfect for me. It was an amazing yet frustrating experience because the accessories we used, like the Ray Bay sunglasses and the pearl and stoned necklaces kept falling off the umbrella. Although it was a letdown, it ended up looking great! Thanks CC!

sinead coombsI am really excited about the shoot because it will be the very first photo I ever helped to plan. It was amazing and really fun. It was even more fun than I thought it would be! The hardest part of the shoot was trying to get all the accessories on to the props. It was especially hard to sick all the sunglass on the umbrella without the tape showing. Overall, the process was really exciting and fun. I hope to do more magazine work in the future.

deidrecoombsI am a girl who loves fashion and hopes to be in the fashion world one day.I hope that I can get into the university of my dreams, Ryerson. My heart and soul is in fashion. I am not sure what I want to study yet, but I really love to sketch clothes and sew on my spare time. I also think its fun to do photo shoots and modeling.

Hi, I’m Jacqueline, and I’m super excited to come to Crafty Couture for the first time. It was lots of fun to create and design all of my own clothes and jewelry. I love to do all types of art, from drawing, music, and of course fashion. Working on this magazine project was such a fun experience and now it makes me want to become a magazine editor.

tal katzI like to do all kinds of art; such as acting, singing, dancing, visual art, and fashion. I am not the most fashionable looking person but when I create fashion, whether it is illustrating or creating from fabric or jewelry, I have fun and it looks awesomely stylish, especially when I am in Crafty Couture. My responsibilities in Chanel’s newest magazine “Eltit” is writing the cover story of “old verses new”. The shoot was super fun especially with my cover story friends and magazine photographers and stylists. Thank you Liran, Gina, Jessica, Angie, Kali, Tahsin, and the Chanel fashionistas. I am glad to be a part of magazine Eltit for the summer, it was a blast!

gina schwabacherThis is my first year at Crafty Couture. Being at Crafty teaches you how to express your way of fashion; from designing, styling, modeling, to fashion blogging, and most of all having fun. I’m very creative and artistic and that is why I enjoy styling and designing clothes. My responsibility for the shoot was to bring vintage clothing and accessories. The best part of the shoot was definitely seeing the contrast of the vintage and new looks together. It was so much fun!

liran yefetHi! I’ve been at CC for four years now, and love fashion. I hope to be an astronomer and a supermodel when I grow up. My favourite thing about CC is - I can’t pick just one! I’m so excited to have worked on the cover story with Tal, Jessica, and Gina on the theme of “Old vs. New” in the fashion trends. The shoot was so much fun, thanks to Chanel fashionistas, and to the CC staff (especially Kali, Angie and Tahsin). See you next year, and remember to BB trending! XOXO!

jessica krawitz Being at Crafty Couture has allowed me to express myself as a creative artist and a fashion designer. I have a strong passion for fashion, and really enjoy styling, making crafts, and strutting on the runway. A few other girls and I thought of the concept for the magazine, and I’m very excited to be doing the topic of “Old vs. New” We are comparing the fashion from many years back and the fashion today. We thought that this was a great topic to talk about because some styles from years ago are coming back in fashion. Thanks to all the Chanel girls, and all the CC staff! We had so much fun with this photo shoot!

avital dubnitzkyI’m Avital, bold and energetic! I love bohemian and military fashion...I get the Best-Of-Both-Worlds! I was in charge of nails and makeup, it was super fun clashing two styles : professional hair but funky nails! I feel so great about the shoot! It was so high in energy and I was super proud that my nail art was finally showcased! The best part was painting everyone’s nails and messing up on Inbal’s eyeliner (Don’t worry, I took it off afterwards), that was very funny! I can’t wait to get my future in fashion started!!

dana genkinI strongly enjoy the journalism business, and especially love my department of hair and beauty. I am a crafty and creative girl, and I love to try new things! For this shoot, my personal responsibility was hair, which I love! The shoot was super exciting; the only frustrating part was when the zipper broke, and other minor defects like that. My favourite part was doing all the hair and having fun with colours and styles. I loved this whole process and sincerely hope to continue on with journalism in the future.

inballeidermanI am a fun, creative person who loves to draw and paint. My responsibility for he hair and beauty section was to do makeup. At CC, we want to keep it natural, so I was planning to do a little blush, and some eye makeup. I’m also in charge of hair. I think the shoot went really well! Going in was a little scary, because we weren’t sure how it was going to turn out, but it went alright. The beauty section was really excited for the shoot! It was really funny when I gave Avital a clown makeover, and a bonus mustache (pay back for the eyeliner incident)!

As a styling 14 year old girl, born and raised in Thornhill, Ontario, I was born to be a star! I helped style and encourage others with my crazy, funky attitude for the duration of the hair and beauty shoot as well as accessorized with bold and beautiful colours. It has been such an enjoyable time laughing around while brainstorming and thinking high fashion! I hope to continue on in the field of the arts as it will always have a special place in my heart! I can’t wait to spend time having fun for the remainder of my time at Crafty Couture!

megan scornaienchiHello! I am a part of street style. My job at the shoot is to improve everyone’s look and make them look their best! I encourage my peers to use bright, funky pieces, and bold colours. I love the theme of this shoot. The main idea is to be beautiful and release your personality. The hardest part about being a stylist is trying to make everyone look magazine ready! But, for sure the best thing about the shoot is seeing the finished product! Lastly, are the funny moments. It was awesome to see everyone joke around and have fun. Remember, always believe in your style and yourself!

christine barnes During the shoot, I helped put different coloured clothing with big bold jewelry to make a big statement, and helped some girls with their makeup. I feel that the idea of our daring denim will really teach some people how, where, and when to wear coloured denim. The best part of the shoot, was putting together some daring outfits. The hardest part of the shoot was fixing up makeup and coming up with some poses! it was a ton of fun going outside for the shoot because the weather was very nice!

heather powersYo! First of all let me tell you about myself. I am a funny, athletic, 13 year old who loves to hang out with my friends! I hope to one day inspire others with fashion! I am very excited to see it all coming together in this magazine! The best part, in my opinion, was taking the pictures. It was fun to pose and dress up for the shoot! The props in our shoot are lots of coloured jeans, tops, and shoes! Go big or go home (the shoot is summer themed). I am so happy to be doing this shoot but most importantly, I had fun doing it!
