ELECTROTECHNICS I Course Unit Content: Magnetic fields. Permanent magnets and electromagnetic magnets. Magnetic field: graphic view, types, direction. Electromagnetic induction laws. Self-inductance. Lenz’s law. Mutual induction, mutual inductance, faktor veze, transformers. Alternating current and voltage. General about variables: referent directions, graphic view, momentary values, waveforms. Parameters of alternating current and voltage. Symbol calculations. Use of complex calculations in solving alternating network, types of complex numbers. Multiphase systems: definition, genesis, graphic view, unconnected three-phases system. Symmetrical system in the Y-connection, phases and lines variables, connection in triangle. Non-sinusoidal variables: definitions, beginning, analysis of frequency. Definite fields: electric-power supply, electrical device. Computer exercises by simulation program. Creation of project. Exercises 70%, lab works 30%. Exercises are numerical and follow lectures. Lectures include the use of sophisticated computer programs. Lab works are performed in a real laboratory. The realization of exercises is described in the lab sheets. They also include all needed explanations and conclusions.
