Electro-hydraulic Steer ByWire (EH-SBW)
EH-SBW is a new technolo-gy steering system for vehi-cles where an electronicsensor replaces the rotarysteering valve of a tradition-al hydraulic steering sys-tem. An electrical signal,rather than mechanical orfluid connections, transfersthe steering commandfrom the operator’s steeringwheel to the steered wheelelectro-hydraulic actuator.The Eaton system includesa novel tactile feedbackdevice at the steeringwheel that simulates thefeel of conventional hydro-static steering.
Electro-hydraulic WorkCircuits
An electronic remote con-trol joystick replaces thehydraulic remote control,cables and levers of a tradi-tional work circuit operatorinterface. An electrical sig-nal, rather than mechanicalor fluid connections, trans-fers the boom, bucket orimplement command fromthe operator’s joystick to anelectro-hydraulic directionalcontrol valve. Other workcircuit applications includecontrol of auxiliary motors,power take-off clutches,and transmissions.

Electronically controlledhydraulic fan drive systemsfrom Eaton provide fast,quiet, efficient cooling forengine coolant, hydraulicfluid, charge air and entireengine compartments.
