Who: this app is able to be used by both male and female. Age between 20-60 years old because they are the most people likely wanting to save money from turning electrical objects off.

What: You would use this app to turn your electrical objects off that you have left on.

When: You would use it if you went out for they day and you left your bathroom light on you can turn it, which will help you save money.

Where: You would be able to use this app anywhere that has wifi because it will always be connected to your objects that are at home.

Why: People would want to use this app because it will save them money because they will not be leaving electrical objects on which will be costing them money.

Problem

The problem that we solved which this app was they we kept on leaving electrical objects on like lights. This was costing our parents more money than it would normally do. So with this app we will be able to turn them off when we want to. This means that our parents will be saving money because they won’t have to waste more money on their electrical bill.

Question

How does this save you money? This app will save you money because you will be able to turn the electrical things that would have been on will now be turned off.

How does it work?

It will work because it will connect to your home and will be connected to all of the electrical objects that you have in your house.

Key insight statements

there was no app that we found on the app store that did similar things to the app we have created. the only thing that came close was an app that you could turn you heating off, which was called Hive.

They is also an app called WeMo that can turn your lights and TV off with. It does similar things to our app but doesn’t do all of the things that our app does.

Problem: saving people money because they keep leaving electrical objects on which was costing them extra money which was unnecessarily.

User Profiles

The people who would use are app would be male & female. They would mainly over 20 and not over 60 because they probably won't have a smartphone to access the app. It could be People of any ethnicity. It mainly would be people who have jobs and living in a houses/apartment that would won’t to save money to spend on something nice for themselves instead of wasting money on their electricity bill because they were leaving electrical objects on when they didn’t need to.

Competitors

There is an app called WeMo that can turn off lights inside your house. This is the only app that does similar things to our app. There is no other app that does similar things to our app, so our app doesn’t have much competitions. So our app has a chance of getting brought on the apple app store and the google play store.

Flow of the app

WHen you buy the app you don’t have to login with facebook you just have to sign up on the app.

It is just a simple signup all you need if an email address and you will have to create a password when you are in the app.

Our app will have you to be connected to wifi otherwise you will not be able to login to your page to turn your electrical objects off with you have left on.

This will not use lots of data so it won’t cost you extra money on your phone bill.

You will only have to a minimum of 2 bars of wifi to be able to use the app.

Business case

Our app will be a free trial app for two months then it will cost £2.00 which is a good bye when you can save a minimum of £20 a month which leads to you saving a minimum of £240 a calendar year. Just by turn electrical objects off.

This is a good app to bye because you are getting saving money which means you will have extra money a money in your bank account. YOu will be able to spend this money on treating yourself to something nice which you would have before buying this app.

Marketing types● We could also create a youtube video and put on an

advert before a video and lots of people will see our app and could buy it and get money.

● Another way is putting on a tv advert and putting in lots of popular radio stations so people will be able to hear about it and they might want to buy and get will tell their friends and get more customers.

● MAke catchy posters and put them around schools and on bus stops so people will see them and they will tell their friends and family and could buy the app and we get money.

● we could also and putting leaflets through people’s letter boxes so then they will be able to see what our app is about and might want to see what is like.

Wild card

If our app was to become really popular then we would create a website and we would create a facebook page, to get people to know about our app.

We could also make a more than one video and more than more advert to put on tv.

This would be a wild card because we don’t want to waste money on advert we we are not making profit and losing money.
