El hombre y el medio ambienteA lo largo de la historia de la humanidad, el ser humano ha pasado de sobrevivir con lo que el entorno le ofreca a sobreexplotar los recursos naturales hasta el punto de ponerlos en peligro de agotamiento originando graves impactos sobre el medio, a medida que han pasado los aos con la creacin de industrias y tecnologas se produce un mayor impacto en el ambiente, ya que el mal manejo de los productos generados por dichas industrias son ajenos al ambiente generando un desequilibrio en los diferentes ecosistemas.

Entre el hombre y el ambiente debe haber un equilibrio, en la actualidad existen muchos factores que afectan al medio ambiente pero se podra decir que el consumo, la sobrepoblacin y la tecnologa son tres factores que estn estrechamente conectados y que juega un papel importante entre la relacin hombre ambiente. El nivel, la intensidad y la calidad del consumo inciden negativamente sobre elmedio ambiente, ya que presionan la sobreexplotacin de los recursos, agotan las materias primas y generan una cantidad cada vez mayor deresiduos slidos, cuyotratamientose dificulta por la utilizacin de elementos que tardan en descomponerse , degradando el suelo y las fuentes subterrneas de agua por loslixiviados, as como a la atmsfera por los malos olores que produce la acumulacin de gases, las quemas y las descargas deCO2provenientes de las industrias y los autos. El crecimiento acelerado de las poblaciones humanas ha propiciado la destruccin de los hbitats naturales para muchas especies. La gente invade los hbitats de esas especies, desplazndolas a lugares inhspitas y condenando a las especies nativas a la extincin masiva. La tasa presente de la extincin es 10000 veces ms rpida que la que ocurre en forma natural. Diariamente, las comunidades humanas densas producen toneladas de desechos slidos (basura orgnica e inorgnica), consumen grandes cantidades de energa y emiten ms agentes contaminantes al ambiente.Si bien podemos decir que los avances a nivel industrial y tecnolgico han sido importantes para el desarrollo humano, los daos que estn siendo causados al ambiente pueden ser irreversibles. Debemos tomar en cuenta que los recursos naturales no se recuperan a corto plazo sino que tarda muchsimos aos en regenerarse, por ello debemos tomar conciencia sobre el futuro que queremos para nuestro planeta, De esta manera, pensar verde, incluyendo la concienciacin sobre la utilizacin de energas renovables, utilizar formas en nuestra vida diaria que ayuden a disminuir nuestro impacto sobre el ambiente como consume menos combustible usando menos el auto. Reemplzalo por transporte pblico, bicicleta o comparte el transporte a tu trabajo, elige lmparas bajo consumo en reemplazo de las lmparas comunes, utiliza medidores de agua y aparatos que adapten el consumo de agua en toilettes y duchas, Recicla, reutiliza y reduce todo los residuos diarios de tu casa. Como futuros ingenieros ambientales debemos trabajar por un desarrollo sostenible que satisfaga nuestras necesidades sin poner en riesgo el entorno natural, adems contribuir a la enseanza de una cultura ecolgica.

Between man and the environment should be a balance, currently there are many factors that affect the environment but you could say that consumption, overpopulation and technology are three factors that are closely connected and that plays an important role between the man environment relationship. The level, intensity and quality of consumption negatively affect the environment, and pressing the overexploitation of resources, depleting raw materials and generate an increasing amount of solid waste, whose treatment is complicated by the use of elements it takes to decompose, degrading the soil and underground water sources by the leachate, as well as the atmosphere odors produced by the accumulation of gases, burning and CO2 discharges from industries and cars.The rapid growth of human populations has led to the destruction of natural habitats for many species. People invade the habitats of these species to inhospitable places and displacing native species condemning the mass extinction. The present rate of extinction is 10,000 times faster than that which occurs naturally. Daily, the dense human communities produce tons of solid waste (organic and inorganic waste), consume large amounts of energy and emit more pollutants to the environment.While we can say that the industrial and technological progress level have been important for human development, the damage being caused to the environment may be irreversible. We must take into account that natural resources do not recover in the short term but it takes many years to recover, so we must be aware of the future we want for our planet, thus, "think green", including awareness of the use of renewable energy forms used in our daily life to help reduce our impact on the environment and using less fuel-efficient car. Replace it by public transport, bike transport or share your work, choose low consumption lamps replacing ordinary lamps, use water meters and appliances that fit the water consumption toilets and showers, Recycle, reuse and reduce waste throughout daily in your home.We as future environmental engineers work for a sustainable development that meets our needs without compromising the natural environment, also contribute to the teaching of an ecological culture.
