Survivors are her husband; two brothers, Tom Carney of Prairie Grove and C. 0. Carney Of West Fork; two sisters, Mrs. Rich and Mn. Snow Morton, both of Prairie Grove.

Blakemore, Mrs. Dolph Helm, Mrs. Clifford Howell, Miss Betsey Campbell and Oscar Sharp, with Mrs. Holm­es accom.panist, sang "Jesus Lover of My Soul" and "Near­er My God to Thee." Mr. Abercrombie died February -1~. at tho bQme of his daughter, Mrs. McCoy Sitton of Gentry. He was born December 13, 1878, at Stony Point, near Fayette,rfile. He moved to Prairie Grove about 55 years ago. He was an elder i n the Pr~sbyterian Church there for 40 years. In 1953 he was awarded a 50 year Masonic meµlbersbip button by the Prairie Grove lodge.

Survivors include one daughter; Mrs. Irene Sitton of Gentry; two . sons. Gordon of Musliogee, Okla , and Howard of Tulsa; four grand­children; one sister, Mrs. D. G. Redden of Olympia, Wash.; two brothers, Will of Tacoma, Wash.; and CliHord of Tahlequah, Okla.; and many nephews and. nieces .

James Edward Morton · was born July 23, 1868 near Wal­nut Grove, Ark. He was united in marriage to Miss Mollie Johnson November 29, 1894. To this uuion were born two child1·en, a son Jam es Auston Morton of Muskogee, Okla., and a daughter, Mrs. Frances McKinney.

Other survivors are, one brother, R. M. Morton, of Fay­etteville1 - a°ii:d one grandson, James Stephen McKinney. t

Mr. Morton was converted I and united with the Presbyteri- , an , Church at Walnut · Grove • while he was in his early teens.

He with his two brothers, the late W. H. Mwton and R. H. Morton, spent their lives i'i; this county in such close con­tact and association that they could have been together in al-

. most a minutes' call. Mr. Mor­ton has never lived more than four miles from their present

· home.

Mr. Morton, with his family moved to the present home here in Prairie Grove in the fall of 1906. Title to the home .site bas j>_eeE _in only three names, and ne\'7er OUU:11ut: vi--.. •• .,

;family since the original grant was issued to Mr. Morton's grandfather over a hundred years ago.

He passed away quietly at his home about 6 :30 Thursday afternoon, July 3. Services
