and opinions successfully, and continue your learning
effectively outside the classroom. With our support
and empowering, holistic approach, you will have
everything you need to take your learning to the next level.
Placement testSitting a placement test on your first day tells us how
much English you already know, so we can ensure you
begin your journey with us at the right point and build
on your existing strengths. You will be assigned to a class
with students of the same level, and throughout your
course you will sit progress and level tests to make sure
your learning is on track.
teachersWe believe that our teachers are our main asset. All of our
teaching staff have a ‘can-do’ mind-set, and are experienced,
dynamic and flexible enough to make sure that your
individual needs are met. They will challenge, motivate,
provide on-going support and encourage you throughout.
LessonsLessons at EC are interactive, interesting and student-
centred, with a focus on active use of the language,
to ensure you remain highly motivated throughout your
time with us. With our integrated approach, you will
learn how English is spoken and used in many situations.
Through the four skills of reading, writing, speaking and
listening, you will learn how to use grammar, vocabulary
and idioms effectively, gain practice and achieve fluency
and confidence in the use of the language.
We will expose you to authentic English with the use
of newspapers, videos, the Internet and recordings.
Everything is taught in context, making it easier to
apply what you have learned to any situation, be it
professional, academic or informal.
Classroom EnvironmentTo enhance your learning, our classrooms are relaxed,
friendly and welcoming, where a nurturing and secure
environment helps to build your confidence. We strongly
believe that you learn more when you are comfortable and
happy, so we put every emphasis on making that happen.

The eC experience
With our first-class language courses, experienced teachers, fun-packed social programmes and beautiful schools in the best English-speaking destinations around the world, we work hard to ensure that the EC experience is the experience of a lifetime. But don’t just take our word for it…
The eC experience
I looked for English language schools
online and saw the testimonials of
former students from EC New York. It was also
recommended by my agent in Denmark. I wanted
to go to a great school and EC seemed like the
place. The course has been really beneficial
and we get a lot of one-on-one attention. I have
enjoyed my teachers and they have been really
inspiring. I really enjoy this school because it’s in
a great location in the heart of the city. It’s clean
and new and the people who work in the school
are very kind and helpful. There are also some
excellent teachers who I have learned a great deal
from. I would like to come back someday to EC.
I have enjoyed my time here very much.
Søren Brunsgaard HustedDenmark
I recommend EC Malta because when you
are at EC it is never boring. The teachers
love their job and therefore the lessons aren’t boring
but funny! After school there are so many activities to
choose from. I’m staying with a host family. My host
speaks English with me all the time and helps me with
my pronunciation. Everywhere you go, you can meet
people from different countries.
Michaela FrechGermany
I enjoy the student life at EC Cambridge. It’s a cosmopolitan city and people are easy to get on with.
The school and the city make me feel comfortable, that’s why I chose EC Cambridge when I came to
England to improve my English. The experienced staff and the facilities are superb.
Kwan Tak TamChina
I love EC San Diego. I have been here for
a while now and I know my way around
pretty well. I like that I can learn different things from
each teacher. The school’s location is just perfect -
I can go to the beach whenever I want and can look
at the ocean from my classroom.
Sungeon KimKorea
EC is a super place for learning
English and for making new friends.
The EC team is always friendly and ready to
help you and the teachers are the best. They try
their best to make our lessons more interesting
and comfortable.
Anastasia PavolovaRussia
EC is the best English school in San Francisco. It’s small, very
friendly, good accommodations and nice staff and I enjoyed
activities. I improved my English and like hanging out with the other students.
For future EC students I recommend - always do your homework!

I have been to two other schools in Cape Town,
you can’t compare it and some of my friends
there are jealous! When I arrived at EC I couldn’t speak
English at all and could barely understand what I was told.
Since I have been here, I feel almost English. I feel that
there are lots of learning opportunities for learning English
in South Africa, because there aren’t many Koreans. At the
moment, the Koreans are very good - they speak to each
other in English! The variety of international students I found
at the school was much more than I expected. All in all, EC
is the best language school in Cape Town.
Jee Jung HwanKorea
EC London is a warm and friendly place. In my free time I like to visit museums, parks, cinemas,
theatres. I would recommend EC because of the great atmosphere. Here, I can meet people from
around the world. The school also has a good schedule for having fun outside of the school classes.
The staff here are kind and helpful too.
Afsoon AlishahiIran
I chose to study in Brighton because of
some suggestions from a friend of mine
about the weather, people, lifestyle and
sea. I love the sea that is why I am here. I chose
an EC English School because I had heard that
the school takes care of the mix of people in each
classroom and it is true. I’ve met people from Korea,
Turkey, Czech Republic, Spain, Italy and more places.
What I enjoyed most about studying at EC Brighton
were the people. All the staff are fantastic.
Maria del Mar AgudeloColombia
My cousin recommended EC Boston
because he studied here. The teachers
are excellent and so is the office staff. They are so
friendly and professional. The students make a great
environment to study and learn English. I recommend
Scoozi and Stephanie’s restaurant in Newbury Street.
And Rumor, Venue and Suite are good nightclubs. You
have to go to Fenway Park to watch a baseball game.
You should go to Quincy Market, Boston Common and
Harvard University.
Diana MattosBrazil
This is the best
experience that
I’ve ever had in my life.
EC Bristol is amazing!
