2018- 2019

The Eastview STEM Scholar Programs of Study includes four years of Math, Science, English, and Social Studies (16 quarter courses in each area) and one full-year (four quarter courses) of applied STEM courses. The STEM program will include three Scholar Certificate Options (Pathways to an Engineering Career, College Prep and Honors College Prep). Eastview High School and several engineering support organizations (ESO) will offer 4 financial STEM scholarships for students completing a STEM Certificate:

1.) Exceptional student engaging in a post-secondary program in the area of STEM

2.) Female student engaging in a post-secondary program in the area of STEM

3.) Male student engaging in a post-secondary program in the area of STEM

4.) Student of color engaging in a post-secondary program in the area of STEM Our current Applied Mathematics courses create the program foundation. Applied Mathematics, with a project based focus, incorporates the district essential learnings in Algebra and Geometry with project application to aerospace, robotics, engineering structures, and alternative energies. College Prep Engineering is the pinnacle course, incorporating pre-calc and physical science. Our in-house Applied Manufacturing, the District Career Development Program (Aviation, CISCO Networking, Computer Hardware/Software, Forensics, Medical Careers, Game Design, Animation), Mentor Program and Work Program (STEM Related), as well as our digital accounting and multimedia / video communication programs provides a deep and comprehensive STEM experience. The Eastview STEM Steering Team will conduct a continuous improvement development process as well as productivity data analysis for the internal program as well as market opportunities (university and technical options).
