EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION Master of Arts in Teaching (48 CREDIT HOURS)

Early childhood educators lay the foundation for a lifetime of learning and can have profound impacts on a child's development, providing crucial stimulation and guidance during the time in which a child's brain is growing faster than at any other period in life.

In this program, students take courses in child development, learning theory and teaching methods. They leave prepared to inspire, lead and advocate for young children and their families in a variety of settings.

ADVANTAGES OF THE PROGRAM

• Students participate in hands-on field experiences with master teachers, with support and supervision provided by program faculty.

• Upon completion, candidates leave prepared to pass Praxis exams and qualify for licensure.

• The program is recognized by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
