10.4" Windows® CE 5.0 Based, GPS-ready Vehicle Mounted Computer

IntroductionThe TREK-725 series is the most cost-efficient vehicle mounted computer that uses an Intel XScale® IXP420 533 MHz processor and Win CE 5.0. TREK-725 is designed to be ideal for GIS fleet management with GPS-ready and wireless (Wi-Fi, GSM/GPRS) communication as well as local CAN & other I/O functions. The TREK-725 has a fully sealed and rugged housing with IP65 rated water/dust resistance. The TREK-725 can withstand up to 4G vibration. The programmable hot keys provide friendly and straightforward operation to users. Intel XScale has ultra low power requirements yet offers high performance for vehicle based environments. An optional backup battery provides a second power source for emergencies. This backup battery can power a fully operational TREK-725 for up to two hours. In addition, TREK-725 can operate from a 24 to 48 V industrial vehicle power source.

GIS fleet management can be applied to long distance oil or chemical trucks; professional field vehicles; agricultural, logging, and mining vehicles; and fire engines.

IntroductionTREK-755 is a fanless vehicle mounted computer that comes with a VIA® Eden™ low-power CPU for high reliability and performance. It is designed for applications in depots, warehouses, transportation, agriculture, manufacturing, ports & container yards, distribution centers, shipyards, and lumberyards where it is mounted in electric vehicles.

The rugged die-cast aluminum enclosure replaces the fan as it helps TREK-755 dissipate heat. TREK-755 has a special design without ventilation holes that makes the front panel, back cover and sides comply with IP65/NEMA4, while the more exposed I/O ports have been placed in the bottom to protect against vertically falling water. TREK-755 can therefore be placed in harsh environments with dust and humidity. TREK-755 serves as a shockproof solution for rotating drive applications. With the installation of a solid state CompactFlash® card, TREK-755 can additionally offer shock and vibration proof data storage for critical industrial applications.

TREK-755 is designed to be used in both wireless and wide area networks with its expansion capabilities for 802.11b/g, GPS, GSM, or GPRS. In addition to Windows® 98, 2000 and XP, TREK-755 also supports embedded operating systems like Win CE .NET, WinXP Embedded, and Linux.

IntroductionTREK-756 is a fanless vehicle mounted computer that comes with a VIA® Eden™ low-power CPU for high reliability and performance. It is a dedicated vehicle mounted computing platform designed for applications in warehousing and logistics; delivery and fleet management; and container traffic management, where it is mounted in industry vehicles.

The rugged die-cast aluminum enclosure replaces the fan as it helps dissipate heat. TREK-756 has a special design without ventilation holes that makes the front bezel, back cover and sides comply with IP65/NEMA4 for protection against dust and water. The more exposed I/O ports have been placed in the bottom to protect against vertically falling water. A rich variety of wireless and wide area network interface modules can be integrated for communication and positioning functions.

IntroductionAdvantech RAM Mounting kits are another perfect choice for securing vehicle mounted computers to vehicles on the move. RAM mounting kits come with a double ball and socket system which can absorb harmful shocks and vibrations. They are designed to withstand more than 50Gs of shock and will hold vehicle mounted computers rock solid even in the harshest of conditions. The double ball design of the RAM mounting kits is fully adjustable. It can be positioned in different ways for the perfect viewing angle.

All these RAM components are 100% interchangeable, so if you decide to switch items from one vehicle to another, simply swap them out with a turn of the knob. There are many different non-destructive RAM mounting bases that will quickly attach and fit every lift truck cage made. They have been tested on vehicles from Toyota, CAT, Daewoo, Komatsu, Yale, Hyster, Clark, Mitsubishi, Nissan, and many others.
